Williams has been with the u23’s all season. People keep asking every week. Maybe he’ll get promoted in a crisis but at the minute he’s not showing it.
Good Post Bill.....I was chatting to a couple of Lester in the pub.....They reckon a deduction is coming. Its from the last time they were in this league, but dodged a deduction by goin to the Premier. It would appear that the EFL haven't forgotten about the body swerve. Judgement to come in a few weeks, apparently. The incoming punishment might see the end of their top 6 position for a good few weeks.
please log in to view this image this was such a ****ing huge block by ajayi he doesnt do this, the games completely different also, when he's fully fit, he's such a ridiculously good defender at this level, its a shame we lose him in december and jan
Argh, good. I’m just going by my seat in the Wedt which is a long way away. I thought he reffed it very well to be honest. There was one odd decision when he gave a foul on Joseph for falling on Vestergaard after winning a header. Bar that, I thought he did a very good job.
Wonder what happened to that Lester poster who used to come on our board now and then? Was it foxy or fosse something?
It was fascinating watching Leicester in the first half. They really were not up for it at all. I thought their number 3 was an absolute disgrace, lost the ball on a couple of occasions and didn’t bother tracking back. Said at the time they’d have the quality to get back into it and so it proved so we did well to keep them out. That’s the problem with relegated sides, as you say they have all the quality but if they don’t want to put the effort in against a physical side it won’t work.
its not his strongest part but i thought defensively giles had the best game he's had fatawu is the best right winger in the league but he was essentially kept to the 20 yards out
Nathan Jones is a tit but he gets average teams playing above their weight consistently. Should be a championship classic
I was blown away by how good defensively he was, Fatawu didn’t have a sniff til he went off. Famewo did well also i thought despite the mismatch in pace
More positives from last night that I don't think have been mentioned yet. I was in my seat about 7.20pm and there was certainly more positivity about the place. Obviously not a big crowd in by then but something was different. Starters the pitch looked immaculate with all the rugby markings now erased. Biggest difference was the pre match music. The lad playing his own choice of Ibiza tunes had been replaced by Jamie Wood (?) who I have seen many times as the keyboard player in the Beautiful Couch and also as a solo artist and he was doing a live set and singing. Very good he was too and his choice of songs were City related. Heard a version of 'Cum on Feel the Noize' and Caravan of Love' Much, much better then the loud repetitive Ibiza bang, bang, stuff. This was followed by a light show to a back drop of some classical music which was very upbeat, followed by the 'Tiger, tiger, burning bright...' All very professional. Someone has obviously had a look at this and improved it a 100%. Just thought someone should mention it.
just wondering when does Acun get some praise for correctly bulleting Selles amid calls of a joke decision by many. and bringing in the right man ( finally ) might get my tin hat ready now..
another big point is its only 11 games into the season.. but look at us at home please log in to view this image last season vs this please log in to view this image 1 win from equalling last seasons home victories.. after 6 games
I'm of the opinion cum on feel the noize should be played at kick off, it's far better than Sunderland's song.
Case of so far so good for me. We're better placed than this time last season, by 5 points, we've just won 3 on the bounce and we're mostly good to watch, but it's clear there's still work to be done. If we can keep this up until new year that'll be a major milestone I reckon. Last time we won 3 on the bounce was just over a year ago, and it went belly up from then on!
