Eintracht host Liverpool in the CL on Wednesday 22 October, KO (that means kick off not knock out, although it remains to be seen) at 8 pm.

Match available on TNT sports 1.

Looking at some stats for each team, I've picked out the ones I hope will be replicated. Liverpool have scored in every away game this season. Frankfurt conceded three or more goals in four of their last five matches. Each of Liverpool's last four victories have been by a one goal margin.

Now the impossible task, predicting the lineup:
Mama, Szoboszlai, Konaté, Virgil, Kerkez, Gravenberch, Jones, Mac Allister, Salah, Isak, Gakpo

Yes this does become difficult. Do you keep going with this lot or make wholesale changes :emoticon-0160-movie

Frankfurt have spent the money well.

We are in for a rough night.

We have to do the basics. You cannot you wander up the park then turn round and see your defence clear thr ball straight to the places you should have been.

    The team shape must improve.

I'd settle for a few cleannsheet snap no goals rather than throwing them in at the back.

    Sort the basics.

    Thoughts.

    1. We bought two attacking full backs. Why? Clearly slot doesnt want to use them.

    2. We have cms but slow wants them to run forward and vacate the middle hoping full backs might take up the slack.

    Why?

I dont get the changes made personally.

Why not be simply playing 433 and smash on those full backs to terrorise teams while you park two cms to destroy and cover the action.

    Mama
    Bradley Konate Vvd Robertson
    Grav Jones
    Frimpong Wirtz Elitike
    Isak

Let Frimpong do up and down and stay super wide as an option and allow him to help out Bradley. Essentially let them both just do a job on that right hand side

Give Wirtz the ball up high. Just let him find pockets and allow him and Ekitike to just drift around

salah needs a rest. Whether it’s to is game or next, but if resting him have to do something different as have no one else to play same way.

Wirtz Isak have to be the future for next 4 years. Even if not being Great they are the long term future of the club alongside Ekitike so find a way to play them and let them build an understanding with each other.

    Radical thought.

    Play fullbacks as full backs.

Play a 433 amd keep two cms in the midfield not opposition box.

I know its radical but playing football might just work here.

He is being rested, we won't need him for the 4-0-6 formation.

Not sure where this idea that Frimpong can't do FB has come from. He played 1 game against one of the highest pressing teams in the league, a game we won btw and neither goal we conceded was his fault.

Bradley is still too young to be consistent and Szob is wasted at RB, plus Frimpong actually overlaps and can cross.

    I don't know.

Slot started preseason without bradley and played frimpong and it was so-so.

I wasnt gone on his ability to control thr ball or just play forward but that's not the same as cant defend

What i am seeing is this desire to just runnin narrow arms shut off all the passing options for the opposition and none of it really works.

Stay ****ing wide. Be an option to pass to. Turn you body so you can pass forward.

The first pass seems to be automatically back if the full backs even get the ball at all.

    Its all very strange

Ekitike should be first choice up front with Wirtz behind him

    Match day.

We should be licking our chops at the thought of their absolute shambles of a defence.

We are just hoping to get by.

Arsenal just put context on our 3-2 v atletico.

We cant afford anything but a win tonight.

Im going to predict an 8 at 6, a 10 at 2 and of course a Jones at 8.

    Absolute mess.

Move the ball quick to Jones so he can then fanny about with it and lose any advantage we got from it.

I really like Zobo at RB but we miss him midfield more than anything we gain by moving him

    Jones.

    The poor man's wijnaldum

Spin round 5 times then pass it 2 yards.

If prizes were given for being hard to get the ball off they would be top tier.

If Jones adopted a lampard attitude and just ran into the box to score it'd be soemthing. He can finish.

But for me these guys are ****ing killers. They slow everything down.

At least windy knew where to cover and defend. Jonesy is oblivious to that too.

Hes not great is he? He got a wee bit of pressure on him and was dropping 10 yards and panicking.

You cant be at that. Being a full back is not all about being on the ball.

    The game is still simple.

Make tackles, block crosses then make good runs forward.

We seem to want the full back to be simultaneously a cm, an inside forward and also be in position to stop wingers attacking us. Its physically impossible.

We have bought two attacking full backs but wont set the side up to push them on.

We want to push the two cms on.

Its like fat ange shaved his head and replaced slot over the summer.

If I didn't know for a fact fat ange was at trent bridge for a month I would have said he was managing lfc for the past month.

Close the gaps. Hold the lines. Compress the play.

The likes of szobo just panic and drop deeper. You need bravery to be a defender and keep the line up. You need cms in their proper spots making play as well .
