But it is nonsense. Gareth Southgates England did it throughout his employment. Certainly free kicks into the box, it was fundamental to his play. Arteta didnt bring it back. It never left the English managers mindset. And if indeed he is utilising long throws I'm certain A) its because he can get away with it over here. B) I'm completely against it and C)I'd bet a far greater percentage of English coaches use it. English coaches are comparatively ****, they are incapable of producing anything special. The culture and mindset gets in the way.
