A good second half gives us a convincing win against Forest, although it wasnt until Maresca made some changes and threw on Caicedo and Gittens that we started to look the business. A dodgy first half with a depleted team, that a better team than Forest might have taken advantage of, as they certainly had chances in that first half. The scoreline kinda flatters us a little, but I will take a 0-3 away win any day. We need to get some of these injured players back, chiefly Palmer, Delap, Tosin and Colwill. Club World cup hangover methinks, with the shortened pre season...... Hopefully we can hang around near the top 4 until Christmas then have a better second half of the season once we start getting our boys back.
We looked a bit disjointed for most of the first half, our midfield was pretty sloppy and Forest gave us quite a bit to think about. They looked sharper and far more direct and had us stretched quite a few times. Neto was really excellent, he blasted down his side of the pitch and did loads of work off the ball. MOM for me. Josh Acheampong is a gem, please don't sell him or loan him out, just play him when we can, he looks to have everything ,especially vision. Garnacho had some trouble in defence, but can't criticise his effort. Reece James did well out of position, Santos grew into the match, and we took home 3 points, one for each goal. Forest deserved better having been on top but playing the "Chelsea" way, and missing every one of the good opportunities they created. With such an atrocious Owner, they are destroying Managers, players and supporters alike.
