I assume that was more based on the other stuff I l posted then, rather than that Dance With The Dead song! It's ok, I like metal but not really hardcore, Suicidal Tendencies are only crossover band I really like.
Found a newish tutor on Youtube for any beginners. To see his other stuff, go to his homepage, then click video and popular, will give you his popular videos in order. A couple I've pulled out...
Listening to the Melting Pot compilation album by The Charlatans. **** Oasis. Stone Roses and The Charlatans were better.
Around 2004-2012 I was really into a sound called Broken Beat. It came out of west London, Carnival scene. Best described as an electronic upbeat blend of soul, jungle, drum & bass, garage, hip hop. It kind of disappeared around 10 years ago, or so I thought. A couple of people called IG culture and Alex Phonzi had been keeping it going under the NameBrandSound moniker. Anyway, happy it's been revived.
I posted that Springsteen song from the Nebraska album that I discovered recently and now I find out the new film about Springsteen is about that album, I'll have to go watch.
We have to be honest about our music, I loved the instumental intro and while she is probably a good vocalist, their take on it destroyed the original vocally, but it's an interesting and brave take on it. I'd happily listen to it just for the beat and cut her vocals down, but she has charismatic tones so I wouldn't cut her out completely, just rearrange it slightly into smaller chunks...but I will not deny that instrumental rhythm got me attracted to it.
