Playing Soz at RB ain't the answer either. How's Frimpong going to get up to speed and grow into this team with how we play if his confidence is shot by a midfielder being picked over him at the expense of ruining the midfield set up.
Yes the players who missed their chances have to shoulder the blame but so does Arne wth his mad tactics.

Of course. They told Isak to fluff a one-on-one with the keeper too <whistle>

Gakpo did his job perfectly hitting the post three times as well :emoticon-0165-muscl

I still think Ekitike would have kept his place against Palace in the starting line-up had he not had a brain fart against Soton.

    Ehhhhhh

    Lfc 0 man utd 1 2mins.
    Chelsea 1 lfc 0 14mins
    Galatasaray 1 lfc 0 16mins
    Palace 1 lfc 0 9mins

That's the point. That's the pattern.

Ifs buts and maybes on shot hammered at goal that hit the woodwork are all fine but again utd are ****ing bang average.

Those ifs and buts ignore utd chances also.

We.are leaking like a sieve and seeing sides sit back and counter.

We now have the just as worrying trned of concedingmanktjer after equalising like.as.if any side tries.a bit more and get.joy

If these patterns don't change someone is going to absolutely go through us like a dose of salts

I done said it a couple of games into the season, you had your man in Ekitike, signing Isak was a mistake and just disrupted things that didnt need disrupting.
Ekitike looked amazing in the first few games until he was dropped for Isak.
As much as you also probably dont want to hear this part aswell......I think you are missing Trent as a creative outlet.
I am not seeing the same level of trust from your centre backs in Frimpong and Kirkez than I did when it was Trent and Robertson, either.
Van Dijk having lost half a yard of pace and Konate's loss of form isnt helping. (Though Konate looked better against United for me)
All that combined with a lack of physicality in midfield and teams know they can bully you.
I have no doubt you will get it together, attacking wise......you have too much talent in that area not too. It just needs bedding in. Remember Wirtz, Ekitike etc are all new to this league and Isak lacks fitness. That will eventually come together.
Its defensively where you should be worried. Teams are playing through you, and I think if some of the teams in your earlier games had been a bit braver and a little less cautious against you, you might not have gotten that string of wins early on.

    I agree.

We wanted isak got knocked back and went and got the option.

The option worked really well at the outset and in preseason looked like he was working really well with wirtz.

The isak thing then started up and youd wonder what the decision process was to go back in and keep going and stop procuring wingers.

I have said as much though, we are due and absolute kicking from someone. Arsenal absolutely missed their chance. They didn't even try attack.

We are all over thr place in every line and theres no shape to it so someone is going to absolutely destroy us before this gets real for some.

We need to find the basic shape and not overly worry about isak.

I’m not talking about the shots the hit the bar? You’re just ongoing what I’m saying.

I’ve said yes defensively we have been poor. However you saying we don’t create good chances is just wrong. Against United we had 4 chances that normally
    get put away.

The comment has nothing to do with the defence.

If you want to talk about the defence, yeah it’s been ****.

Agree on TAA. Said it myself couple weeks back, not even just his creativity as we’re still creating chances but more so the control he gives in keeping the ball and making it less a basketball game.

Ekitike looked great but is still young and i think having 2 top class forwards was important - especially as no guarantee Ekitike will be 7/8 out of 10 every week and with that many games need rotation. Having lost Jota Diaz and Nunez def needed 2 bodies for that forward line. Just think the pressure and not being fit hasn’t helped him but he’ll come good no doubt.

Midfield is just over the place. Grav was best DM with caicedo last year and some reason is now more box to box when isn’t needed as Wirtz should be the creativity in midfield and Mac looks ****ed every game while Szobo is being shifted around as Slot hasn’t worked out what to do with RB.
