There's a simple answer to this, don't read what the BBC print. The media half the time aren't even interested in the truth, all the media, they are only interested in what sells to their readers or viewers. Fair enough, I didn't know that. I'd only skim read the story. They should absolutely be clamping down on the people threatening violence, but I guess they just thought it would be easier to ban Maccabi fans and deal with the problem that way. I think the fact that Maccabi fans also have a Hooligan element didn't help, so they've gone for the option to just prevent them from coming and simply not having to deal with any public order issues. The problem is, this sort of **** gives fuel to Tommy ten names who I think was in Jerusalem this week having his photo taken with a Maccabi shirt on. So decisions like this just give ammo to the **** stirrers.
