    The next 5

    Chelsea
    Everton
    Arsenal
    Fulham
    Bournemouth

possibly the hardest test we've had so far.
would like to say we would get 3/15 ( being 3 draws)

    but anything is possible,

You always get the fans who are so old school they can't see that we aren’t being outplayed, riding out luck or playing poorly just because we are happy to consider posession and defend and be well organised and difficult to break down!

I think there were a few more mistakes from the lads especially when trying to pass out but in reality Wolves had one or two decent chances they completely fluffed! Our defending and the lack of real opportunities given away can add to the other teams forwards snatching at chances and trying to hard to score that first sniff they have had in 60 plus minutes imo, so not quite the luck some would believe!

I find it difficult to watch compared to a dominating possession and never really looking like getting beat performance (the mags 0-3 under Poyet iirc was one of them performances?). But doesn't mean I'm not fully aware this is a much better way to go about getting points on the board and its very effective ! Much more enjoyable to watch the highlights later when im not ****ting it :emoticon-0102-bigsm.

Maybe I fall i to.the other category of our fans, those who always expect to be bitten or it to go wrong!

Our defence is ****ing class like! Trai is probably the week link but he has still been decent enough and was very good at the weekend!

Exactly this, this team is capable of getting 6 from the next two. I'm thinking 4 from the 5 matches a win and draw from Everton and Fulham matches! But my heart telling me a surprise win at Chelsea and give Everton a 3-0 thrashing! :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Arsenal is really the only game that scares me

Chelsea - can be either brilliant or sh1t,
Everton - like the team, hate the manager, need to do them and send a big fat FO & FU to the dour b*stard
Arsenal - can be caught napping but their quality is massive
Fulham - bit hot and cold, like a supermarket own branded pizza, can be Hot, cooked, burnt and cold all at the same time
Bournemouth - can play well but can also fall apart and lose badly

ideally looking at 3 draws, possibly a win or two.

mainly can see 2 defeats and that is Chelsea & Arsenal

    but again who knows.

we could do something stupid and win all 5

I am not the type of person to get ahead of myself Smug, but we have signed quality. I haven't seen anything in the league to be frightened of yet and I look forward to every game, confidently expecting a performance, if not a result.
We will get turned over now and again and drop a few points to teams we should be beating but we will also pick up points from teams that we don't expect to.
We have had a major squad overhaul and 8 games in, players are still getting used to each other. We have also been unfortunate with injuries, and coupled with a daft moment, two major players, Diarra and Reinildo have missed games. The strength in depth of our squad has seen us through this and our bench looks solid and capable of changing games
I will be gutted if we are anywhere near a relegation scrap and disappointed if we don't finish mid table.
Like you, I have followed us for 60+ years and I can't remember a squad that has instilled as much confidence in me as this one.

It’s probably for the best as season ticket sales might drop

Good post mate. We will get turned over several times during this season, we have to accept it,but, overall,I'll be very disappointed if we're in a relegation scrap at the end of the season....I'm another 60+ year follower and I can't remember a squad and management set-up which,as you say, fills me with so much optimism!

I reckon 5 or 6 personally. Reckon we will beat Everton and possibly Fulham or Bournemouth but if not get a couple of points from those.

I didn't realise at the time that it was Xhaka running alongside Mayenda when he broke away at the end.
He didn't look happy that he didn't get the pass after running that far <laugh><laugh>

I’d not heard this commentary on Mukiele’s goal. We’re used to the good football we can play but this guy wasn’t

Me too, that would be more than satisfactory imo., and I am quietly confident that we can, and will do it.
