    Just a thought: Starmer's baffling defence of Thuggery Tel Aviv has likely lost Jess Phillips her seat at the next election

    She only had a majority of 693 last year, which suggests pretty bloody loudly her constituents were already sick of having to switch on the TV if they wanted to see their local MP, so Starmer has likely done critical damage to any remaining support with his prioritising the worst hooligan firm in the Israeli league over anybody else

    Does beg the question who follows the precedent set by Ashworth and Debbonaire last year

    ...other than Streeting, obviously. His majority was 528 last year, which in a logical world is reason to not add him to the cabinet

    Two things have been pointed out

    First is that OpenAI loses $5 for each video generated on its new platform, so what that's actually doing is getting Sam Altman closer to having to find a real job

    Secondly, it's been suggested that Stephen Miller is running the majority of Trump's socials these days, and this really does make that look a lot more likely

    ...okay, a third thing: it also lets the world know that the MAGA Louts are really pissed off about the No Kings marches

    Somebody needs to clarify: are the Tel Aviv authorities antisemitic for cancelling the game, or is it Maccabi fans who are antisemitic for attacking the Hapoel fans?

    From what I am reading, the Israeli police are getting blamed for being nasty to the poor, innocent MTA fans - causing them to defend themselves.
    So I guess from that, it's the Israeli Police who are anti-Semitic! <doh>

    I can see a few people who are tying themselves in knots over this conundrum. But equally there are others who are either so stupid or so radicalised (sorry, Islamaphobic) that they won't see the need to admit defeat.

    Where did you read that? The “risk to life” that got the match cancelled was between Hapoel fans and police apparently. I’ve not spent ages reading into it but it’s what I’ve seen from more credible sources than the wet wipes on Twitter desperate for an angle to keep crying about Israel.

    It’s not Islamophobia to point out that groups of local people with no interest in the football match who happen to be Muslim have promised to come down and kick off. There was a local community leader calling on people to attack Maccabi fans. He didn’t mince his words. There is no conundrum.
