Rosalion looks a bit of a cuddy now. It has been a largely forgettable season for Hannon and he doesn't look to have much ammunition for next season among his 2YOs

I can't remember him having a juvenile team as poor looking as this and I wouldn't be in a hurry to send a horse to him at the moment. He surely needs to be considering trying something different.

Mind you I had been thinking the same about Charlie Hills for a while now and up he pops with a 100/1 winner. My he needed that one as he's been the invisible man for some time.

Francis Graffard hasn't half arrived and looks to have taken the baton from Andre Fabre as the best trainer in France.

Yes Rosallion ran a strange race. As a horse who has usually responded when the wick was turned up he was strangely just about the first horse to come under pressure and look outpaced. Then he ran on and was only 3/4 length behind Field of Gold. It was a fast run race, as many were yesterday, and Cicero's Gift's 6th and 7th furlong times were decisive.

I think yesterday showed there wasn't really an outstanding horse in Britain this year.
