Thanks for your recommendation. We went to Badbury Rings last weekend after reading your advice. It is a brilliant hillfort and one of those things that fascinate me. I saw what i think were Meadow Pipits and Linnets as well as a late Red Admiral butterfly. Afterwards i tried to find Stepleton House which is the other side of Blandford Forum. I have been a bit obsessed by this estate which belonged to the Beckford family . I was looking for some music to sight read about 2 years ago and discovered that Mozart's contemporary Muzio Clementi grew up at Stepleton. He is not so well known these days though the Phil Collin's hit "A groovy kind of love" is stolen from the Rondo of the 5th Sonatina. I love the fact that Clementi grew up in Dorset !
Even getting Red kites on the A21 and bottom of M25 in West Kent. Great to see as we have Buzzards everywhere too.
