I'm not sorry it didn't succeed. I'd like to see the Lansdowns replaced at some point, with someone who has a true vision for moving the club forwards, but it has to be the right buyer, not someone who has a string of other sporting interests elsewhere.

When you look back at some of the major issues caused by foreign investors over the years it makes a mockery of whoever came up with the idea of due diligence from the administrators when approving new ownership. The situation at Sheff Wed is a joke and the league bosses have just looked the other way and allowed bad things to turn even worse. Try as hard as I might I could never accept Arabic ownership due to the human rights abuses that abound in most of those countries and, believe it or not, there is also a lot of corruption, money laundering and many other things of the nasty variety. American and Arabic money people need not apply in my biased mind - am I so wrong on the woke front or am I just being relistic in wanting a better future for our club?

Realistically there aren’t many potential benevolent British investors with the kind of money required, so it’s likely to be foreign ownership is SL wants to sell at the reported figure being quoted. Like you I hope whoever it is is both honest and well meaning, time will tell.

    Agreed
It seems to be either Americans or Arabs that are interested, or have the money
But as Man U fans will testify, American ownership wasn’t always great under the Glazers and even Old Trafford has been allowed to fall into disrepair which is pretty shocking

Any American investor could be just as much trouble as anyone else. Man Utd is the classic example of American owners going bad bec ause all they were interested in was the abilty to use the Man Utd world acceptance to borrow money using the club as collateral to get loans for other divisions of their empire.

Ok, so we won today, but…. is anyone else questioning Strubher’s tactics and formation? We have a shortage of midfielders and lots of strikers/No 10’s, yet he insists on loading the midfield, including playing a CB in midfield rather than try 2 up top (which apparently is his favoured way of playing), he hides it well!!
He’s just had the international break to tweak the formation, and knowing the injuries to our midfield, so he could have done 4-4-2 or an attacking 3-5-3, but has stuck to a 3-4-3, but he didn’t

Supcon, it's incredibly frustrating, it's hard to believe we haven’t got a midfielder better than Vyner (fair play to him for giving everything he has).
I think Struber is doing as well as he can with the cards he's been dealt.
The more I watch the replays of today's game my admiration of Vitek grows.

I’m worried (as are many others) that Man U will recall Vitek in January.

Me personally would go McCorey in midfield and Vynar back in defence with Sykes RWB. Tanner scares the life out of me

Feels weird but I’m supporting Man U and hoping their keeper doesn’t let them down, so they might forget about Vitek……
So far so good - 1-0 up at Anfield…

Isn’t Vyner one yellow card away from a suspension?, if so, we may get to see McCrory taking his place in midfield anyway. Other than that Struber sees the players day to day, I’m sure they’ve tried different options in training as well.
I’m more than happy to bow to Strubers decision re formations, he’s more qualified than me, and has inside information as well.

isnt he currently 4th in line?
Q is .......how much is he actually worth? As our goalie= priceless at the moment..... as an asset with a value? ................. or How much would we speculate to have him permanent!

We are building a team, about 40 % of the way there? 2 seasons from gaining premership?

We are still trying to build a super team based on what we have in the house and you say it is at 40% realred. That I reckon has been our starting point over the last decade or so and as far as I can see we aren't even close to that magic time when we fill the roster with 100 percenters. Each and every season we are looking to plug some gaps or other and yet we still are searching in vain to get the final blocks in place to show the supporters. What is apathy? I don't know and I don't care is the mandate at Ashton Gate and I can't see it changing in my lifetime, 81 and still counting. Any chance????? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Well I heard that Max is nearly fit, but Vitek is (IMHO) a much better keeper. Man U will know this and will hold out for a good price - or offer him to the highest bidder (and there would definitely be bidding).
He would probs be out of our price range.
Max has been a faithful servant and I respect him, but we will only ever be mid-table with players like him.
We need the Viteks and Knights to take us to the next level.
