I'm in a right mood this morning. Yesterday we looked like a team who had never played together. Some of the passing and crosses was non league standard it was that bad, Doesn't matter how much possession or shots we have there was no creativity no clinical finishing. it honestly looked like we were playing with a balloon at times. Harrison didn't want to know about going forwards. everytime he had the ball his 1st choice was to go backwards or cut inside. never once had the bottle to take on Walker. We have a great header of a ball in DCL and in the 1st 5mins he beat his marker twice in the air for flick ons but not one ball was played into the box for him to get on too. when we did get to the byline it was sent straight over to the other side or short to just inside the box. Look we ran our socks off yesterday but when there is no quality to the end product its all down hill. Our centrehalfs very rarely got troubled yet we lose 2-0 but how do you leave a 6"3 player unmarked in the middle of the box? he wasn't going to miss. Aaronsson is very busy gets in great positions. but, takes to many touches and for a attacking Premier League Player to miss from where he did is criminal. he had the whole goal to choose from and decides to side foot it straight at the keeper if he tried to put it in a corner and the keeper saves it fair enough but he made it so so so easy for him. Our Midfield was woeful Longstaff was the worst player. We just don't seem to know where to put a ball everything was so easy for Burnley. Was it a bad day at the office? or is that how good we are. Burnley are going down that's 3 in a row in which Parker has outwitted us from scoring with a inferior team and taken 7 points from us,
The plain facts are that yesterday’s performance wouldn’t have won in the championship. It was a very bad championship quality performance from a mainly championship quality team. Harrison not good enough, Struijk not good enough, Darlow not good enough, Aaronson not good enough and tactics ere not good enough. No urgency, penetration, crosses and a lack of quality finishing from Harrison, Nmecha, DCL, Aaronson. It was embarrassing wholesale changes needed now. Perri in, Bijol in, Okafor in, James in and maybe Piroe deserves a chance
Hi everyone Watched MOTD last night , Shearer was saying much same about Haaland, does next to nothing all game, but then scores a goal or two, because he uses his footballing brain, and that's what proper strikers do best,they just score goals, i mean that's what a team strives for in football isn't it? I am not saying by any stretch of the imagination that Piroe is that good, but a striker along those lines, so play him in a similar role and he will score goals at this level. So don't expect him to be a playmaker or running around all game, but expect him just to score goals and that is all we need, however he would need as Haaland has, a good supply of quality passes/crosses unfortunately judging by last night that would be a problem. Oh and by the way Florentino will not score another goal like that again in his footballing career, Ohhh Why do they do it against us

There’s a reason Jack Grealish is leading the stats on dribbles, assists, taking defenders on, chance creation etc, it’s because he goes past defenders for fun. He is on loan so no transfer fee just wages, he’s making Everton a top half team after being relegation fodder for years. We had Harrison going backwards and sideways creating nothing and when he got the chance he made himself look stupid hitting Rowe Z twice. Why didn’t we go for a top loan or two? Then have cash for a ten or top nine. Baffled…..
Issue is Man City can afford to have a player not doing the hard graft when every other player on the pitch is the best in their position in the league or near enough. Piroe would get goals but I don’t think we can afford a passenger. You could put him on instead of Aaronson or Harrison but we will 100% lose something defensively by taking those 2 out. It’s no coincidence we lost 5-0 when Piroe started this season.
it cracks me up. We score three goals from 3 shots and They miss their chances. Brilliant manager. A few weeks later our chances are missed, and (fewer actually) defensive mistakes aren’t punished and it’s Farke out.
