I was on the Overground going from Euston to Watford this afternoon when the entire network came to a halt, the train was packed with school kids and I think some of then might of overheard the station staff explaining what had happened

Someone had killed themselves by jumping in front of the train that was ahead of mine and that train had to be evacuated while the remains we're scattered over the track and some of it was actually on fire on the third rail

 

The National Rail train takes about 1/3 of the time.

I was actually possed off because I missed that train and had to wait i5 minutes for mine and the Network Rail train available was not stopping at Bushey

 

Where in Bushey are you? I grew up near the Bupa hospital.

 

Not in Bushey but Bushey is the most convenient if on the Network Rail train instead of the slow train that stops at Carpenders Park

I could have caught a Met line train and got off at Moor Park they are all much the same for convenience

The US State Department says it has "credible reports" that Hamas is planning an "imminent" attack on civilians in Gaza, which it says would violate the ceasefire agreement.

A statement released on Saturday said a planned attack against Palestinians would be a "direct and grave" violation of the ceasefire agreement and "undermine the significant progress achieved through mediation efforts".

 

Another clause in the ceasefire agreement states that regional partners will ensure that "Hamas, and the factions, comply with their obligations and that New Gaza poses no threat to its neighbours or its people".

Therefore, any instances or evidence of armed action by either Hamas or other factions in Gaza would be considered a violation of the ceasefire.

Hamas, which has ruled the territory for 18 years, is facing a challenge from armed groups, such as Abu Shabab's Popular Forces, gangs which it says are being armed and supported by Israel.



I know that Benny was arming various groups in Gaza who rivalled Hamas, some of them who have links to Islamic State.

Are they going to use this unrest to pin the blame on Hamas for breaking a ceasefire ?

 

Gaza's Hamas-run civil defence says 11 people were killed, all from the same family, after the bus they were in was hit by an Israeli tank shell in northern Gaza.

The Abu Shaaban family, it said, were trying to reach their home to inspect it when the incident happened in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City on Friday night.

Civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP news agency the victims were killed while "trying to check on their home" in the area.

The dead included women and children, according to the civil defence.
