We likely get fined for having 7/8 bookings as well as the brawl. The ref deserves looking at though. Absolutely zero control of the game
Destan did OK in his little cameo at the end, and the chance he missed was because a defender tugged his shirt as he was swinging at the ball.
His response to their lying prick of a manger saying he didn’t swear was….. “ I take three points now and go home “ lol, ****ing poetic… love it !!!!
Not sure I see that, both of those had qualities in holding the ball up and bringing others into play. Joseph really seems to lack the technical ability to be a good player at this level. He takes way too many touches and so often his final ball is poor. He works really hard but needs some real improvement on the technical side of his game.
This issued hours after the game, hardly enough time to have a thorough investigation. If it didn't happen, why would the Gaffer say it did, backed up by Regan who also heard it. Just a whitewash by Birmingham.
A very enjoyable game to watch, not the best football, but a game full of incident. On the ref who had a poor game, and his decisions IMO the mistakes more or less cancelled themselves out. Hughes lucky not to have given away a penalty first half, and Crooks avoiding being sent off was out weighed by their keeper could easily have been sent off as could Stansfield for his afters on Joseph. Also, their penalty looked to me to be outside the box for the initial foul. Having said all that, a very watchable game, first half we didn't really get to grips with the game, but still managed to go on 2-1 up at HT. Slater was very good all game and apart from Akintola who was poor throughout, every one else had an okay game. Second half we started much better and even though we created a lot of goal scoring chances after their red card, we didn't really control the game as well as we might. We certainly looked better when Crook's came on and Gelhardt moved to the right, and Millar was very good. On to Leicester, I hope Crook's can start in the 10 role with Gelhardt on the right and Millar on the left, though probably will start with Joseph and bring Millar on after 60 minutes.
So reading various comments about Birmingham being entitled etc, sounds like the Arsenal of the Championship. ****ing ****s basically.
Wow. I don’t really get that. I think he’s improved massively this season and had him down as man of the match.
The Jak’s philosophy was laid bare yesterday. When winning against ten men, just go toe to toe. It worked really well and despite conceding a lot of possession, we were never really in danger and maybe should have been 5/6-1. The ‘done thing’ and 99% of managers would have done it is to keep possession and frustrate them and then wait for the inevitable gap. As someone said earlier, Acun seems to have got his wish. Great to watch. This board is going to go into meltdown though when it will sometimes inevitably backfire.
