You prat. We have spent 685m since he came in. Go and get your facts right before trying to be a clever dick. He has spent nearly 700m and still getting **** results like yesterday.
We have spent 685m since Howe joined. Not NET. Thats how much Howe has spent. That’s a lot of mathing. We had to sell Anderson and Minteh to ensure we didnt fail FFP but people on here didn’t think that was an issue either.
We've got the 6th most expensive side in the PL. It's not doing great unfortunately. It's going to have to put a little run together and it's going to have to be now.
And people are still happy losing against Brighton and Welbeck. Patting each other on the back thinking they are clever.
I don't think they're happy mate, but people try to pretend they don't care better, that's all. You're not wrong if you just say we're not doing well given the amount spent. We're still a bit lacking unfortunately, but it's not like we're getting hammered every week. Bad recruitment in the winger/ fwd areas over the last 4 years imo, who are playing infont of fruitless full backs.
I don't recall ANYONE saying they are happy with losing to Brighton and patting backs about it mate. You just appear to get a bit over emotional about it and start looking to point the blame (at Howe, specific players, then other forum users, etc). Which sometimes ends up in fights. Which often ends up with you thinking people have ganged up on you. It's just a pattern. These aren't numpties, prats, plonkers and whatever other terms you've used. These are people, fans, who just don't get as over excited and try to keep level heads. It doesn't mean they are happy in defeat. It doesn't mean they are plonkers either.
Have you got your split times for the 100metres freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and Individual medley. I ask for split times as a bed is approx 6' long and we need to to correlate this with a 50 metre pool.
And it's a new day and we should be moving on thinking about the Benfica game in 2 days, but no, GG is back losing his **** on this thread again at 6am We lost away from home "again"? The last time we lost away from home was over 5 months ago you realise? And no one's happy about the result, just cos other people don't have meltdowns and outbursts doesn't mean other people are "actually celebrating" losing. You've been killing this thread since the final whistle yesterday - all meltdowns, histrionics and calling everyone names, it's really embarrassing to read, you need to give up and move on.
It seems finance isn't really your thing - why are you only looking at spend, that includes spend for players who aren't here anyone! Thus yesterday you were saying we should be beating Brighton cos we've spent £680m on players, despite this £680m including the likes of £60m for Isak who isn't at the club anymore! Everyone views net cos it gives an example of how the club is being run. Keegan and Robson spent more in adjusted terms and never won anything, Howe has. Likewise people don't compare paying £4m for Stephanie Guivarc'h in 1998 to £55m for Elanga in 2025 in completely flat non-inflation adjusted terms. Please tell me you don't submit your company finance reports, the company could be making billions and you'd find a way to say the world's ending.
Tbh the actual numbers are immaterial If you're saying Newcastle have spent lots of money and not doing great right now, that's pretty accurate. The problem is if you say a specific number people spend time trying to argue the figure and not the crux of the point being made. I always take issue with wrongs and yesterday I think GG was ott and insulting, but I agree with the actual point he's trying to make. We might get a few wins over the next few weeks or we might not, so we have to wait and see.
Lol, I am aware of this The accountant who isn't aware of the effect of inflation and refuses to consider net spend.
Net spend is what Liverpool fans hide behind.. They never calculate in the amount they paid for the players they sold and they skim off the values for ins and outs slightly. Newcastle are the 6th most expensive side in the PL guys.
I’m guessing we’re just glossing over the amount of meat on the bones the squad needed first thing though. The popes, trippiers, burns, targets and woods that needed brought in to escape a certain relegation and then make the squad attractive enough for others to want to join.
