The full back situation is one reason we're struggling, but the main issue is that our taste in wingers is incredibly bad. We've waited for a RW player for years and in the end we've ended up with a worse footballer than Almiron. Gordon has lost himself in his own arse and I don't think he'll ever be found again. Ramsey looked good Today in the middle, but in general we're beginning to look like an over coached group of good lads. The side lacks guile and flair in any area of the pitch. Our work hard fist pumping attitude has been trumped by a changing landscape in management and better coaching in the league overall.
We'll be alright in the end... I don't think the fixtures fell well for us... That said, you can't keep throwing points away.
Why don't we shoot when we're within 30 yards? Conversation needs to be had about Joelinton btw. He has been poor for a while now.
The frustrating thing is, we know we have players who CAN shoot from that range. Joelinton is a funny one. We never quite look as strong without him. But he has been giving the ball away a lot recently. When he is on his game he is a total beast. Like against Forest our midfield 3 totally dominated the game. He is still a definite first team starter for me. But agree he's not quite 'on it' right now.
He has and Miley (backpass) was much better. The Joelinton bandwagon is not coming off the rails. It’s crashed into the station.
There are - extreme manic ups when we score a goal, followed by manic downswings when we concede a goal.
The goal by Woltemade was just sublime. But the result was crap. Actually we are lucky as ****. If it wasn’t for Woltemade we would be bottom.
