Great Aclaim @22/1 ew in the card closing handicap lottery at Ascot. Hasn’t run s bad race all year, decent draw and a nice weight pull with the fav. Also Coup De Gold @8s in the opener at Stratford and Betty Dutton @ 14/1 over in Limerick. Good luck all.

Well as its the pinnacle of the British flat season I suppose I'd better have a go so here's a very small stakes e/w patent:

    14.45 Estrange
    15.25 Fallen Angel
    16.05 Economics

Over at Market Rasen there is a 10lb claimer in the conditionals race (Rian Corcoran) but his mount Lock Out has top weight and is 7/4 fav so not an interesting betting prospect. There are some nice types in the novice hurdle but the one I do like for a bet is Tom Lacey's Hobbson's Day in the bumper (17.55). The yard do really well with their bumper runners and this son of Jack Hobbs is related to a few French flat winners. Sure to know his job on yard debut and might have the speed to win this.

    Good luck everyone <cheers>

I'll give my Arc filly another go

    Quisisana 7/1

Kalpana looks too short to me. Estrange would prefer softer

But he won fair and square. And what a fine ride and win for Jason Watson. A jockey who wasn't nurtured properly as a 20 year old.

I'd like Almeric to take this. I thought he ran a terrific race back in April and his only run since showed he's still as tough.

Good winner Calandagan - looked a bottle merchant earlier in his career but has his act together now. The best horse of the season not allowed to run in the Arc because he has been gelded.

A day for gelded champions: Powerful Glory & Kalpana (and she wion and fillies and mare race anyway) the only non-geldings to win today.

Trawlerman is looking unbeatable over 2m on decent ground. Just don't back him at Meydan
