I agree that there were definitely a lot of positives today, as well as the obvious negatives. We are now 10 games in and we’re very fortunate that no team(s) look like doing a Burnley/Leeds type season so it’s still very salvageable.

 

Massive **** up on the owners/Spors part then?

I kind of agree with this but also don't at the same time. Could have easily had 2/3 in that first half and we've got enough attacking talent to be scoring more than we are imo.

 

Which sides have better “game changing quality”?

 

Today wasn’t worrying in the same way other games have been. It just felt more like one of those games that you get sometimes.

 

Sort of. A lot of the game drifted like the other games did though. Take away the 30-45 min spell and the rest of the game was very similar to most other games this season

True, but my concern is when we didn’t convert a chance in that spell we couldn’t replicate any of the momentum for an entire half to really put Swansea to the sword and find a goal. The Jander chance is about all we had in the second half, yes he should’ve scored, but when he doesn’t you’ve got to be creating more than we did

Yeah we could (and should) have had that game won in the first half. The last 20-25 minutes of that first half was probably the best we've played all season at home.

In the second half though we reverted to the one paced and lethargic way we've played for much of the season where we relied on crosses too much. Albeit we were very unlucky when the ball hit the post and went across the line (if that's what happened as was hard to see from my end).

Swap a defender for another creative player, and we win today 3-0.

Or if we must play 3 CBs, then play Azaz instead of Jander. No through balls practically all game. Dreadful attacking performance. Only Scienza’s fifteen minute spell in the first half made us look dangerous.

 

The second half was very much a leftover of Martin ball.
