Scored a cracking goal for spurs tonight and after the game harry redknapp said he was looking to send his youngsters out on loan in january.

    Worth a punt?

With Brady going back it leaves us with only one real wide man in cameron stewart and i think townsend could give us some much needed balance in the midfield. He did well when on loan at ipswich by all accounts too.

We have apparently requested an extension to Brady's loan, but I'd love it if we got Townsend instead.

His Dad's great on the guitar too.

The Brady situation is in the balance by all accounts. With Stewart of the right and Brady\Townsend on the left we would look seriously dangerous. Not sure what terms we are on with Spurs after the Bostock loan.

He certainly looked promising tonight, NB still should have some good connections at Tottenham. On Brady it will depend on whether SAF thinks he should now go to an EPL club to gain more experience. Like most of you, I don't think he is good enough yet for the EPL.

Brady isn't ready for a Premiership side, he's barely good enough for us at the moment.

Don't get me wrong he has HUGE potential but he has a lot to learn.

Cant see Brady been recalled or going elsewhere, reckon he will get extention and come back to us.
Townsend would be an ideal replacement. My mate was on about a young lad at Forrest, cant remember his name, apparently cracking forward, come from academy, and forest looking to cash in.

Brady needs to get games with us, he's definitely PL quality, but as Strov says, he has a lot to learn. I'd have thought it was best for him to learn that here.

The advantage to having Townsend would be that as he's a known name the opposition's attention in planning would be on him rather than Stewart. At the moment Stewart and Brady are likely to get equal attention. I know opposition scouts would be warning about Stewart as well, but it doesn't matter how much you tell your defenders to watch him, if Townsend is on the opposite side the defenders are going to anticipate more of a threat from him.

Think there's sod all chance to be honest. Good player and great prospect but can't see it.

The lower placed premier league teams will have first dibs.

We've got nowt that'll entice him here.

He's a Premier League quality player, as a consequence, he'll almost certainly get a Premier League loan.

Imagine Stewart on the right and Townsend on the left - two speed demons. They'd rip a lot of Championship teams apart.

Replace Townsend with Brady. People have been saying that all season. There are no guarantees, especially when you take a boy out of London, could be another John Bostock.

Unless Brady goes back or we manager to sell Oily, I'll be very annoyed if we waste our budget on midfielders.

I was impressed with Townsend when he played under Roy Keane at Ipswich and also when he was on loan at Millwall .He has turned in a couple of outstanding performances for Harry at Spurs and would be an asset to any Championship team. Not sure if he would want to come as far North as Hull but perhaps our other young talents might be an attraction to help him settle in. Lets keep hoping.

who says that Brady is going back ? Do you have a hotline to SAF and Warren Joyce ? Maybe you need to get in touch with Nick Barmby and let him know pronto. As for Townsend, yes he is in Jan but Millwall are after him as one choice. I think that Brady is a better player from what ive seen and Townsend does have a reputation of a hot head but not in the Balotelli mould.....yet.

well a few city fans have tweeted with Bostock and asked if he would come back to Hull if asked. he said he would love to. its interesting that bossy has just stagnated @ spurs and left in the background. well harry did say last night that a few of his kids can go out on loan so i guess its down to the players concerned. Townsend incl.

but would another southener want to move up north if other southern clubs were interested which they surely will be. after OJ is he worth bothering about ?

no chance. all Brady has to learn is team play and cut out the step overs and fancy work when simpler options are available. plus brady has a better alround attitude to the game. Townsend is a hothead off the pitch.
