Legia fans travelled and were stopped from going in at the last minute due to events that day- still overkill but quite a different situation. This fixture has been known about for two months or so and they’ve waited until now, with tickets and travel presumably sorted for those coming from Israel and elsewhere. They’re ****ting themselves about the documented threats of violence from ‘locals’.
Boo-****ing-hoo!! Anyone in Israel who thinks that now is a great time to be making social trips into Europe with MTA 'fans' is either deluded or complicit. And regardless of that category, will be wealthy enough to take the financial hit of a cancelled trip. Sympathy with them? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBwowuYph-G/?igsh=ZGg3emtvYTV4Zm5j
I don’t know if you’ve travelled abroad with Spurs but you’ll know not everyone who does so is super well off. The people of Israel are free to travel to watch their team or for any other reason as much as anyone else even if you’ve made a foreign war an obsession. Had they banned fans from the start then it would’ve been a poor decision but more understandable. Doing so now because the local police don’t like the violent threats from their own community is weak.
It seems to have gone over your head why I am being cryptic, so I will have to leave you with that because I don't wish to go any further.
It hasn't "gone over" my head, so I will have to leave you with the fact that it isn't about what you think it is (which may go over your head) .
****ing Barca, of all teams, were banned from a Belgrade tie last season. Judging by Villarreal's attendance from our match, that's about 200 fans, though. Frankfurt were banned from the Goons and we've had various other examples, too. Why should MTA be any different?
Banning away fans because of the threats of local Jihadis and the police’s unwillingness to confront them is a new one though.
Multiple were convicted for it so the Dutch authorities and judiciary were obviously in on the whole conspiracy.
Or, to look at it from another angle: fans of Spurs, Ajax and Anderlecht haven't been banned from Villa Park...
