Team spirit always looks great at the minute....lads look like they're having fun.....must be down to RLB and his staff.
I really can't imagine they'll delay the SOL expansion tbh ... ... waiting 'until we're established' could take years. I think KLD is totally committed to the club and will leave it in a much better place than he found it, although he's showing no signs of wanting away.
Stay up this season and that will be the green light IMHO - get loads more corporate options in the new stand(s). That's where the money is these days
Completely agree....KLD has landed on a golden egg here with us. He paid,what.£30m?...in partnership with a proven money maker in JS.... for a club with a fantastic stadium, filled to the rafters, which can be expanded at the most minimal cost per seat in the business. Training facilities already there. It's a modern day steal, the likes of which some of these US fund managers would kill for. Why would he want away.....it's a dream.
Unless we go 5 at back, I'd prefer Hume at left back. Xhaka Sadiki Rigg Talking Isador Le Fee as the front 6 (if back 4)
I'm putting my two-penneth in here......which I don't normally do. Roefs, Hume,Mukiele,Alderete,Masuaku,Xhaka,Rigg,Noah,Talbi ,Wilson,Enzo. Bench....Patto, Ballard, O9,Gertrude,Neil,Adingra,Traore,Mayenda,Brobbey,
You may be right but I think we need to put a marker down now. My issue is, what happens if we avoid relegation by one point, do we then put things off for another year ... ... or do we say 'Whatever happens we'll extend the stadium so it's ready for our promotion back to the PL'. I think that would encourage sponsorship/corporate/investment, etc. Everton just built a whole new stadium despite circling the relegation places for quite a few seasons. I think it's worked for them and I think they'll improve now ... much as I hate them
Stay up this year,by one point or ten......doesn't matter....the die is cast. I'm sure expansion in every area of the business will follow. As far as Everton are concerned......how much did they pay for their new ground......it must have been nearly 50 times what ours cost us?
Just think. He bought our Club for the price we are buying and selling a player for now. Dortmund could have bought us or Jobe. KLD could have bought 5 Sunderlands for our transfers brought in payments. SAFC is in a good place right now.
Can’t wait for this one! Really positive news on the injuries to Sadiki and Alderete….i was expecting it to be a lot worse after reading initial reports. Hopefully a fully deserved 3 points form the lads tomorrow….its the least they can do seeing as how it’s my birthday. I’ve already told Mrs RLB to tell Reggie I want a home win as a nice birthday present!! What’s everyone doing tomorrow pre match? Are the usual crowd meeting at the Museum or are people gravitating towards the town to walk over Keel Crossing?? Last but not least, hats off to @RTB for another wonderful scene setter! Ha’way the Lads!
If I may do my best RTG impression: "Jesus, he must be crocked if Luke needed to carry him off the field like that. Another failed transfer".
Must admit, back in May when we first got promoted I thought we'd wait a bit to see how things panned out, but I've come around to thinking with the full houses, demand for more tickets and the vibe around the club and a city as a whole, he will look to harness it and build it sooner and wouldn't be surprised at all if work was to start once next summer's concerts are out of the way, the only uncertainty is will it be an initial step up to 55-56k or will we also apply to take it higher.
RLB suggested he'd have two training days to see how he felt. He also laughed when he was asked if he was worried that Hume had just played two high intensity internationals ... ... he seemed to be saying that Hume would've played again, the next day, if they'd asked him
