This is the argument people made with the Tories and Labour to excuse the laziest and most corrupt government we’ve ever had. They just aren’t comparable. Doesn’t mean you have to like the Israelis but it’s disingenuous to make out they’re on a par with Hamas who are currently rounding up and shooting their people.

Hamas are ****s, and things like public executions are abhorrent and show what sort of mentality they have. I'm making a very big distinction between Israelis and this Israeli Govt though, (which I believe you should also do between Hamas and ordinary Palestinians) This Israeli govt has committed serious war crimes on a par with what Hamas have done. Shooting children dead who are queuing for food and water, after having bombed their homes, then the refugee camps they were forced into, and then cutting off all food and aid, in my book is every bit as bad as the atrocities committed by Hamas.

I'd put them in the same bracket as those who took glee in seeing Gaza being levelled. I think at one point, vending machines were installed at a viewing point where Israelis could go and watch the bombing from a safe distance, and take selfies whilst keeping refreshed and topped up on snacks. Scumbags in all walks of life mate.
I personally wouldn’t put that in the same bracket as deciding on the spur of the moment to join in with a terror attack because you hear there’s an opportunity to kill Jews you can’t miss.

I did have a quick glance at a car crash on the M40 the other day so I’ve basically ploughed the car into a busy bus stop.
Or paying to watch kids getting bombed from a safe distance, whilst you get a can of coke and a twix to sit down and enjoy the show. It’s not on the same level as booting corpses, but it’s rooted in the same mentality of taking pleasure in other people’s pain and misery
Anyway, the point was that Hamas and the Israeli govt are as bad as each other. Ordinary Israelis and Palestinians largely don’t share their warped mentality.
I bet the properties with a war view are now outstripping those with a sea view. Missed out big time with our investments. We’ll know for next time.
