I think he did quite a lot. But you can’t be around people all the time and it only takes a bad few minutes to be in that place where you make the decision to end it. If he hadn’t been a talented boxer he’d probably have been a fat but happy normal bloke. Put his body and brain through a lot both with the boxing and the drink/drugs. Think this was always a strong possibility eventually and hard to say what impact his job had on his thoughts.
I like when you have stands maybe 20% full like Huddersfield’s and someone still insists on sitting in the worst possible seat.
I wasn’t speaking about Hatton specifically. Everyone is different and no single fix will cure/treat all. It’s a sad fact that men’s mental health still has a stigma attached to it.
Blocking Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from attending an Aston Villa match is the "wrong decision", the prime minister has said. Sir Keir Starmer criticised the move, saying "we will not tolerate antisemitism on our streets" and that the role of police was "to ensure all football fans can enjoy the game, without fear of violence or intimidation". Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch branded the decision a "national disgrace" and suggested Sir Keir should act to reverse it. She wrote on X that Starmer should "guarantee that Jewish fans can walk into any football stadium in this country". "If not, it sends a horrendous and shameful message: there are parts of Britain where Jews simply cannot go." Ayoub Khan, the independent MP for Birmingham Perry Barr, welcomed the decision: "From the moment that the match was announced, it was clear that there were latent safety risks that even our capable security and police authorities would not be able to fully manage." Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar called the decision "shameful" and urged officials to reverse it. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey said it was "a serious mistake," adding: "You don't tackle antisemitism by banning its victims. This decision must be reversed." Meanwhile, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said the move "takes racial discrimination to a whole new level".
Frankly it's bollocks ... would be easy enough to 'bubble' ... given the 'expectation' ... only real problems these days is when the authorities are caught completely unaware ...
Shocking. They’re a proper football club. They can always come back as Sheffield Thursday, I suppose.

Ayoub Khan is another one of those hate filled radical muslim MPs that wants to join up with Corbyns failed party
Got a sneaky feeling United getting at least a draw against Pool Goonz with a tight at the back performance and 2-0 victory Spurs to make a meal of it at best sneak in a 2-1 win but going 1-1 Sunderland draw maybe a late winner to take the points 2-1 Draw for Leeds and the Toon all day Ange prolly gettin the sack soon easy Chav win 1-3 Man City with a hard fought 2-1 against the Toffees, Grealish watching from the stands West Ham to get the draw Nuno style 1-1
Agree. I actually can see Utd win and add fuel to the fire that slot needs to be sacked. We need to put that fire out quickly
No serious person would think he should be sacked even if you lose 5-0. A few internet gimps who would’ve been screaming to themselves 20 years ago or writing a blog four people read.
