Which is odd, considering I've cited a study which strongly indicates it to be true.

And this is exactly what I'm talking about lol, nobody will ever accept that they are of below average intelligence, regardless of facts of evidence.

You can put as much evidence of the world being an ellipsoid as you like in front of a flat Earther, they will tell you until they are blue in the face that it's all wrong and they are more intelligent than you. Same thing here, it's just an interesting quirk of human nature, isn't it?

I voted for Brexit on the grounds it would make us economically stronger mid to long term. Covid then the war in Ukraine came along and pretty much shafted all countries financially. No one could’ve predicted either. What I will say is that the common man should never have to vote on decisions like that, politicians and the experts they rely on to help them make these decisions should be making them, that’s what they’re there for not to pass the buck on to us.

As always, you avoid the point I make, and ,if you don't consider me your marra, I couldn't care less....it's used on here as a term of togetherness in the love of our club.....but,your inevitable conceit will lose sleep on it,I'm sure.....I won't be losing any!
As for belittling people.....you've made a career out of that on here.....people you don't know on a footy forum.....and you dare to accuse me.....your arrogance indicates on almost every post you make dismissing anyone else's point of view as incorrect or unimportant.
I've posted about 2 posts down....let's have your take on it.

I agree with some of that, however, the background to the referendum was Cameron keeping the right wing of the Tory party happy when let’s be honest there was no groundswell of opinion for a referendum.

Once Cameron unleashed this it opened the door for charlatans like Farage, funded by dubious money, to manipulate many in this country against this countries better interests.

Irony is some of the people who voted for this economic and immigration clusterfk are saying people who voted remain are gullible? I’m not sure how they work that out given I didn’t listen to Russians and billionaire non doms backing Farage and Johnson.

No conceit whatsoever but Brexit has damaged our economy and contributed to record immigration. Like the consensus of experts told us. If you wish to make it personal fair enough but ultimately they are the facts.

Well Boris Johnson did get voted in. Also the people who voted leave believed that £350m a week would go to the NHS and immigration would be stopped didn't they?

I didn’t vote to create this mess but the remedy is this government has to make the best of a very difficult economic and immigration situation (they didn’t create it or wanted it). However, those that were fooled or misled by Farage before need to be very careful in believing him again.

I value our nhs and public services and sadly many of the low income people who support him will suffer the most if he gets any kind of power as we will loose the nhs and valued public services. He doesn’t even try to hide it. Some need to be careful what they wish for.

My view and it isn’t aimed at anyone in particular is that we’re all allowed an opinion that’s why there’s so many different political parties. A lot it the people that I know voted for Brexit was on the grounds of immigration which wasn’t the case with me, we need it, however more needs to be done about the illegals.
As for being gullible I’d say in that case we’re all gullible if we lean one way or another depending on which lying party we vote for after listening to their promises.
Maybe I should stick to the football threads in future I’m not normally clued up on politics.

Not all. Most believed that exit from the EU would lead to a cessation of unfettered immigration from EU countries, and the proposed joining member states, and a chance to reclaim some of our culture and well-being.
Sadly, because of the treasonous behaviour of Govt. that did not happen......still doesn't mean that remains the wish.

Margaret Thatcher said a referendum on EU membership was far too complicated for the average man on the street to understand. Was she saying that those 51% landslide of voters were thick? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I have not seen the offending posts as I have the poster who said it on ignore, but deduced straight away who it was. Can you not see who it is he is as he will be quoting him. Or do you have MR on ignore as well? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I’m not thick but they’re the supposed experts, their job is to make the best decisions for the country and its people. So she was right we don’t know enough about it. I’ve never voted for the Tories either.
