Think we’d be a little light starting with Le Fee and Riggy in CM. I’m hoping it’s Xhaka alongside Geertruida, with Riggy sitting ahead of them. Le Fee on the left, Talbi on the right. I think Mayenda will be more suited to starting this game upfront with his pace and movement.

Mayenda is better by far imo for getting us up the pitch. Back to goal in his own half, he has the ability to get himself well up the field. Wilson isn’t as good at that. He’s better with the ball in front of him

I did ponder that mate and, having made my point, will leave it there …

… in my defence it’s the PL who brought politics into football which is exactly what I object to.

You may be right but it's certainly more prominent at football matches, and the racists feel more empowered there. I've never heard of anyone making monkey gestures at the opera TBF...

I don't see it as being lectured personally, is it not simply an opportunity to show solidarity with the black players, and promote anti racist sentiment? A bit like the "kick it out" campaign, which I also think is a good thing although maybe others disagree

I don’t need an opportunity, I’m decent with people all the time …

… I don’t believe a single racist will change their opinions because of this.

It’s irrelevant whether there are more racists at the opera than football, this is supposed to be about educating people …

… all of them, including those who don’t broadcast it.

Football is having this thrown at it as if they’re the biggest culprits, I totally disagree with the way it’s singled out.

I doubt he'll move Xhaka to accommodate Geertruida. Most likely is Rigg for Sadiki (same energy levels)

Great news, Sadiki is a possibility so sounds like if he misses it’s only 1 game and Alderete also looking good depends how the flight was.

Just reinforces what an absolute nightmare the international breaks are.

There’s no alternative though. Either play 52 weeks a year piling all international games into 3 month or this way. Or be in League 2 without the worry of having quality footballers at our club.

Right then. Revised team for me would be:

    Roefs
    Hume Mukiele Ballard Masuaka
    Sadiki Xhaka Rigg
    Talbi Idisor Le Fee

Subs: Patterson, Aldarete, O'Nien, Geertruida, Neil, Adingra, Traore, Brobbey, Mayenda

Give Omar a rest after all that daft travel.

I do think there is some merit in have 1 long international window instead of 3 separate ones - less travelling and makes the season less stop/start.
We need to bin off International Friendlies in that time too - only competitive games should be allowed.
Get the AFCoN shifted to the summer too

RLB on injuries: “For Noah we checked him yesterday and he seems okay. We’ll see after training today and tomorrow if he’s available. For Omar, after 20 hours flight we’ll check him this afternoon.” #SAFC

I love them and I love supporting England. I’d do away with mid season friendlies though. There’s 3 competitions now and that should be enough to keep them going.
