While Farage plans to go back in time and pretend it’s a lie https://news.sky.com/video/time-to-wake-up-uk-told-to-brace-for-2c-climate-warming-13450210
Your conceit is ever apparent marra, with every constantly boring, repetitive post you make. Instead of the " I knew it and I told you so " rhetoric ad nauseum, please turn your self-acknowledged cleverness towards advancing practical, achievable, workable solutions for our future, rather than repeatedly using hindsight to try to attach blame for this country's malaise to anyone and everyone......large numbers of ordinary people.....,not many of whom,..apparently,...as clever as you,...who didn't in 2016...and still don't...sympathise with your ideological viewpoint. Ordinary people, who have real and genuine concerns about the environment in which they have found themselves, still being betrayed by false promises from successive politicians going back decades ...well before your eternal whipping boy Farage appeared on the scene with any influence. Farage is a result of the problems, not the cause. Reeves is banging on again about the "Black Hole",as though there wasn't one before 2010,.....it was there, but it was known as a deficit.....same thing, different, more emotive terminology. Please stop trying to assert that Brexit is the sole cause of this country's ills and, therefore,by definition, anyone who voted for it must be thicker than you. To do so,shows a complete lack of cleverness.
Farage summed up in 1 sentence. The bloke isn't a politician, he isn't the savour of this nation - he's a rich racist, passing himself off as an "everyman" whilst pretending to have the answers to problems that don't exist. Quite how anyone believes a word he says is beyond me.
In a nutshell he's a grifter that wants to sell off the NHS and make lots of money. In a nutshell he's a coont.
Best post I’ve read on this thread for ages, I think you are wasting your time though mate, he obviously believes what he writes over and over, What baffles me is how he has convinced other gullible suckers on here to lap it all up.
Brilliant post marra, but sadly you’re wasting your time on people with a blinkered mindset on politics
Some daft posts on here at the moment. Everyone believes everything they post otherwise they wouldn’t believe it. Everyone thinks they know better than those they’re criticising and will side with those they agree with. I watch more than comment, on these threads, because of how blinkered everyone is but it’s funny to see how fanatically people can defend everyone from Boris Johnson and Trump to Nigel Farage despite how clearly corrupt and fake they are. Thank heavens for the football when we’re all on the same side … … except those who are totally blinkered and don’t agree with who are our best players
Never a truer word spoken! The football was my life growing up,and is responsible for every good mate I have. Everything comes back to it.
Is there anyone on here who is willing to stick their neck out and say who would make a good prime minister at the moment. (any party) I can’t name one.
You'll never get a concensus on who would be a good PM. In my lifetime Thatcher and Blair were arguably the most successful but both had their detractors and left before they would have liked. Even Churchill was voted out after the war.
@Makemstine Roger think you might have missed this post, mate? I'm genuinely curious about your thoughts on this?
Of past PMs, Theresa May, had for a tory politician, integrity. She was stabbed in the back by her own MPs for not being a 'hard-brexiteer'. Compared to Liz Truss she was a safe pair of hands. Sunak, was rich so unlike Johnson, did not need to be corrupt. He had to sort out Bonko Johnson's NI mess. If Blair had not seriously fcuked up with the Iraq, weapons of mass destruction' he was okay. Fa gash, would be a disaster, his economics are worse than Truss's, he lies more than Johnson and he is hoping to line his own pockets at every opportuity. He is also thick as pig s hit, must be the only pupil ever to go to expensive pish Dulwich and not pass 'Os' and 'As'. Starmer is obviously a clever working class background man. He is however boring and has had a charisma bypass. Being a lawyer he surely must be able to plot a through the minefield of laws that are hamstringing the return of illegal migrants. He and the labour party will judged in this issue... as well as housing builds and economic growth, not standing up to the back benches for welfare cuts is hurting him and Reeves atm. As for the future, Rayner, if she (or her conveyancing solicitor) hadn't screwed her house purchase, might have become a decent PM, she had the 'balls' so to speak. I recall her making mincemeat of various tories before her in the HoC. Personally doubt the mayor of Manchester would be any good As for the tories, hmm, she doesn't have a seat anymore, but the woman who carried the big sword and looked as if she could use it... would have been a contender.
Unfortunately, the system we have won't alllow anyone with a lifetime commitment to this country to assume the role. You mention Thatcher....who was undoubtedly commited,......and then Blair, who was only ever commited to his own ego.
They both had major flaws in their policy's, thatchers was using the destruction of manufacturing to get at the unions and Blair with his ill thought out policy of sending 50+% of school leavers to universities without thinking about what degrees were needed so most just went on pointless courses getting loads of debt, where they should of created apprenticeships inc degree apprenticeships.
But, the fact is, more intelligent people did vote for Remain, and less intelligent people voted Brexit: https://www.bath.ac.uk/announcement...ed-in-the-uks-vote-for-brexit-research-shows/ And everything which the more intelligent people predicted would happen, has happened. I've always found people's approach to intelligence fascinating. Roughly 50% of the population are of below average intelligence, but I promise you, nowhere near half of people would accept that they are dumber than average. There are bricklayers who struggled to pass their GCSEs, who are absolutely certain that they know better than top economists and financial experts. And that is why Brexit happened: the less intelligent in society voted for something they simply didn't fully understand. The same thing is happening with Reform UK. Nigel Farage (a statistically unintelligent man) is targeting the less intelligent in society as they are the easiest to manipulate. He doesn't need robust policies or a workable plan; just pretend to enjoy a pint in front of a Union Jack and promise to "stop the boats", and people lacking critical thinking skills will vote for him in their millions. He won't stop the boats if he gets in, btw. He will "try", it will fail, and then he will blame the EU and his supporters will lap it up. Anything to avoid admitting to being wrong. And then he'll tear the NHS apart.
