Wales v Belgium Venue - Cardiff City Stadium Date - Monday, 13 October 2025 Kick off - 19:45 In many respects, the day of reckoning for Craig Bellamy’s Wales squad - hopefully, there won’t be too many scars from last week’s chastening defeat by England. With just two matches remaining for Wales after tonight, every point — and every goal — could prove decisive in the battle for automatic qualification. Begium’s goalless draw with North Macedonia has blown the Group wide open, meaning Wales' destiny is very much in their own hands. Three wins from three - it sounds so simple, doesn't it? - would guarantee them a spot at the tournament next summer. Before tonight’s fixtures, the Group J table looks like this: North Macedonia – P6 W3 D3 L0 GD +9 Pts 12 Belgium – P5 W3 D2 L0 GD +13 Pts 11 Wales – P5 W3 D1 L1 GD +5 Pts 10 Kazakhstan – P6 W2 D0 L4 GD -4 Pts 6 Liechtenstein – P6 W0 D0 L6 GD -23 Pts 0 The top team qualifies automatically for the World Cup, while the runner-up goes into the play-offs. Below are the last 5 matches and results for both Wales and Belgium: Wales 10/9: at England (Loss, 3–0) 9/9: vs Canada (Loss, 1–0) 9/4: at Kazakhstan (Win, 1–0) 6/9: vs Belgium (Loss, 4–3) 6/6: vs Liechtenstein (Win, 3–0) Belgium 10/10: vs Macedonia (Draw, 0–0) 9/7: vs Kazakhstan (Win, 6–0) 9/4: at Liechtenstein (Win, 6–0) 6/9: at Wales (Win, 4–3) 6/6: at Macedonia (Draw, 1–1)
Ben Davies is set to become Wales men's latest centurion with manager Craig Bellamy predicting a big future off the field for the "beyond impressive" Tottenham Hotspur defender. The former Swansea City player's 100th cap will come when he leads Wales against Belgium in Monday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Belgium in Cardiff this evening. Davies, 32, will join former team-mates Gareth Bale, Chris Gunter and Wayne Hennessey in reaching that mark with Bale's 111-men's Wales cap record in Davies' sights.
I’m in a hotel in between Scunthorpe and Grimsby. There were loud cheers for both Belgium goals from the English folk here.
Jordan James was a **** when he played against the Swans a few weeks ago and he’s just been a **** again tonight
I was thinking Wales were unlucky to be behind until James' utterly stupid and obvious handball. Belgium comfortable winners in reality. Ref was poor. We've been hammered by Canada and England as well. I'm thinking we'll really need to step up now to qualify via the playoffs. It can be done though and it would be great to go to the World Cup, even if we don't get out of the group.
