Been trying to recall this for weeks now. Under the train lines off Floyd road there was an underpass and in white paint was graffiti it read “” ….Will die “ who was the person that was mentioned ??? Circa 1976 to 1983? Sorry bit left field but it’s driving me mad trying to recall what is said!
The Central line is particularly bad these days both for graffiti, and vile anti social behaviour. Last week a “commuter” late to arrive on the platform forced to the doors open with his hands, having first stuck a bag between them. With the rest of the doors closed, the driver left his cab to look and then ordered us all off the tube saying the BTP had been called as substantial criminal damage had been caused with the doors bust. By this time the commuter, who’s most recent journey prior to that was probably by rubber dinghy from France, had fled the scene.
A client of ours went to London and said how shocked he was that London was so dirty and graffiti covered. It reminded him of New York in the 70s
I once worked for a large PLC, who came up with a mission statement one year to please shareholders- to clear all graffiti from their infrastructure. They quietly gave up after 3 months & considerable expense.
