It's the World Club Championship trophy against Brisbane I think it is, it's played before next season starts and a week before the Las Vegas game against Leeds. Wigan won it last time to make it four trophy wins, that's what he's probably mean.
I thought about putting Lewis in for the Rob Burrows trophy, but bottled it. I also thought about under 24.5 points. So swings and round abouts eh.
I've got a mate in the Netherlands who had €55k stolen from his Coinbase account and they refused to accept that it was down to them and he must have been hacked or something, he went to the police but they weren't interested and he never got it back.
There is a banner at the top of the Coinbase homepage. "Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment and you should not expect to be protected if something goes wrong"
Coinbase is a Nasdaq listed company worth $92 Billion . That's a higher valuation than BP so for there to be no interest or regulation to protect investors is dreadful to put it mildly.
There are rules and regulations that listed companies have to adhere to but you are buying a share of that company and the value of that share may go up or down that's the reality. It's just another form of gambling. Having said that there may in the future be some form of compensation scheme for those investors who have lost money. Just like the current claims by diesel car buyers and those who bought cars on finance are looking at claims for being miss sold it wouldn't be a huge step up for similar claims against financial advisers. I believe that governments don't mind this sort of thing because it is putting money into the economy and keeps the little people spending their winnings. I also think it's wrong and people should go into buying whatever with their eyes wide open (of course a salesman is getting a commission for selling a finance package) there is no free money and what you win today in your claim you will end up paying back in higher prices goods and services.
PS how has the HKR thread morphed into the financial one? maybe these posts should be moved to the bitcoin one.
He was aware of the risk of investing, what he wasn't aware of, was that someone could steal all the money from his account without them doing anything about it. This isn't a case of losing money on an investment, it's a case of someone getting into his account and transferring all the money to an account in Belize.
a similar story….a mate of mine thought he had a a 6 figure sum in some sort of digital currency (bit coin I think). When he tried to cash out he was informed that the token codes were invalid & it was worthless. He had been the victim of fraud
Back to Rugby and the Ashes squad has been announced. No Jake Connor at all. Love him or hate him but on his day he is unplayable. No big surprises and the usual favourites being picked.
Connor is too volatile Vern, he winds up too easy, he kept it together this season and had a great one. But the Aussies are masters when it comes to sledging, he;d be putty in their hands. Williams was always gonna get picked, he's one of his favourites and the Captain but the Captain should be replaceable because he's done bugger all for Warrington this season, he's been crap. With this squad we'll lose the series so get your money on now.
