Do you think anyone would stay in a tent if they arrive in Dover?

Not in the slightest. They’ve arrived at their destination. Why would they?

That's a joke. There was no Israel till 1948. It's built on stolen Palestinian land. Half of the Palestinian population was removed by Israeli terror gangs the Haganah, the Irgun & the Stern in the Nakba. Over 500 Palestinian villages were destroyed. Those to the north could escape to Lebanon or Syria, those to the east to Jordan, but those to the west had nowhere to go as Egypt wouldn't let them in. So they ended up in Gaza. That's why it's such a crowded hell hole.

In more recent times the Gaza concentration camp had been blockaded for 16 years. On the West Bank 700,000 settlers have moved in to steal even more Palestinian land and terrify the Palestinians that are left. The three million Palestinians there have no rights, they have been in a state of military occupation & apartheid for nearly 60 years.

No wonder the Palestinians are a bit miffed.

That's easy to switch if you want to demonise a whole population. The Israelis voted in Netanyahu and even two fascists Smotrich and Ben Gvir. Fanatical settlers steal Palestinian land on the West Bank on the basis that God gave them it. They meet on the hills above Gaza to party and cheer when they hear explosions from Gaza.

I don't think the conflict is complicated at all. There are colonialists and a people being colonised. There is an occupier and a people occupied. I know which side I'm on.

That’s up for debate. That land was originally called the Kingdom Of Judea… Israel predates Palestine. In fact I think it was the Romans that booted the Jews out all them years ago. The Jews always said they’d get back to their land and capital which is… Jerusalem. That’s deeply embedded in the Jewish culture.

Israel has been constantly attacked since the new dawn in 1948 from its neighbours. Was it 1967 when they all got together to attack Israel and were quickly crushed? I think that’s when Israel took the Golan Heights, to secure the Nations safety as this was a position an enemy could take attack from them. On average over 1,000 missiles a year are fired into Israel from across its borders, that’s certainly been the case for the last 20 years. They are surrounded by people who hate them and want them wiped off the map just for existing and following a different religion.

I think I’d be a bit miffed and volatile to my neighbours, if I was an Israeli as well. The Jews have suffered enough in history. I know which side that I’m on.

Well if you ignore the little gap of 2,000 years since they were there.

That should be fun fixing modern borders as they were 2,000 years ago. Bad news for much of the inhabitants of the US, Canada & Australia and probably of immigration back to the UK.

Mind you, there won't be a UK, or a GB, or indeed an England as if I remember vaguely from history lessons it was once split into three different kingdoms. Still, in Northumbria at least we'll get away from being dominated by London although sadly in this new state the percentage of Mags will be higher.

The Hungarians and Estonians can all **** off back to Central Asia as that's where their languages originate from.

The whole idea is just complete nonsense - yet when Israelis come out with this bollocks incredibly it's taken seriously.

Rwanda has started to take deportees from the US, now. Some of them asked to be deported back to their own countries from Rwanda the rest have decided to stay and build a life there. The US are also setting up similar schemes with South Sudan and Eswatini.

Looks like they aren’t trying to get straight back to the US again. Strange that isn’t it.

Posting this here as dont think it fits anywhere else.

Good to see the government, and now other nations formally recognising Palestine as a state. It may be symbolic than anything else but its a start and imo the best path to any kind of peace deal.

Nobody would argue that Israel were of course well within their rights to retaliate against Hamas for their barbaric actions but they have taken it too far and show no signs of stopping unfortunately. They are committing genocide now in plain view of the world.

We need to ban all arms sales to Israel as long as they continue to make "mistakes" killing innocent civilians.

    Anyway rant over for now!

How come the Russians have a high-tech weapons factory? Pictures circulating of it being on fire after a reported strike.

US President Donald Trump is considering sending long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.

Asked by reporters on Air Force One on Sunday whether he would provide Kyiv with Tomahawks, Trump replied: "We'll see... I may". The missiles would be "a new step of aggression" in Ukraine's war with Russia, he said.

The comments follow a phone call at the weekend between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who pushed for stronger military capabilities to launch counter-attacks against Russia.

Moscow has previously warned Washington against providing long-range missiles to Kyiv, saying it would cause a major escalation in the conflict and strain US-Russian relations.

Tomahawk missiles have a range of 2,500 km (1,500 miles), which would put Moscow within reach for Ukraine.

Trump said he would possibly speak to Russia about the Tomahawks requested by Ukraine.

"I might tell them [Russia] that if the war is not settled, that we may very well, we may not, but we may do it."

"Do they [Russia] want Tomahawks going in their direction? I don't think so," the US president added.

On Sunday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the topic of Tomahawks was of "extreme concern" to Russia. "Now is really a very dramatic moment in terms of the fact that tensions are escalating from all sides," he said.

In September Peskov dismissed the threat of Tomahawks, saying they would not be able to "change the dynamic" of the war.

But in his comments on Sunday he noted that if Tomahawks were launched at Russia Moscow would not be able to tell whether they were carrying nuclear warheads.

"What should the Russian Federation think? Just how should Russia react?", he said.

On Monday morning former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev doubled down on Peskov's comments.

"How should Russia respond? Exactly!" Medvedev said on social media.

"The delivery of these missiles could end badly for everyone. And first of all – for Trump himself," he wrote.
