Likes? You seem to have nowt on the last page. I, on the other hajs, have 1 Honestly, are you really that shallow? It seeks really pathetic. Numher of likes? Probably time for me to bail out of 606. Seems the lunatics have control.
Wow, one mention of Nigel Farage and people get hysterical ... ... all I asked was a question, no need to start questioning my attitude. All I said was 'Don't be so soft, I only asked a simple question' If that's all it takes for you to lose it then it probably is time to bail out, dear me what's happened to people ... ... no wonder I usually steer clear of anything political, can't wait for Wolves.
I don’t know what reform can, or are what they are going to do. I only know how they’ve impacted me so far by pushing to leave the EU. More expensive goods A mass of red tape while traversing countries (and that’s just Joe Public, god alone knows the hoops businesses have to go though) I’ll never vote for reform after this, I’d sooner vote green.
This new travel thing sounds like a right faff on as well. I was reading about that yesterday. You have to registered your biometric data next time you travel and be processed before you can enter Europe.
He will stop the boats by giving immediate tax breaks to his billionaire friends and slashing public services for us all.
The Tories and Deform have both said they would come out of the ECHR, Labour have said they would amend it. However this would only mean that those few who claim family rights etc when the UK Govt is trying to deport criminals would not be able to fo so. When the illegal immigrants in the boats arrive, they claim asylum ie refugee status. My poor understanding is that this is not the ECHR law. So leaving the ECHR would not stop asylum claims from being granted. I think about 34,000 were deported in the last 12 months? ***ash has said he will deport 750,000 immigrants, he has yet to explain under what law and what means to make this happen. ***ash/Brexit means we cannot (easily) cooperate with Europe to 'stop the boats'
Sounds expensive to make that work. I thought they were cutting spend. I’d rather spend it on services for young people personally.
It's ridiculous that anyone would believe it's possible tbh ... ... as if France would allow the Royal Navy to land boats in Calais and offload migrants. I'll leave it there, it's obvious Farage doesn't have an answer. I'll start counting down to the Wolves game instead.
I'm so disillusioned with politics and politicians now..The Tories, who are the most successful political party in history and are best (historically) with the economy are now a basket case. The last time they were in they ended up a laughing stock and cost the country billions with that Liz Truss Budget. The big hope was Starmer who talked an impressive solution to our problems...helped by the fact no-one really wanted to vote for the Tories. Hence the landslide. But Starmer has single handedly bollocked up on pretty much every decision and is now seen as no friend of the working class. But PLEASE..... even at the worst time of the Conservatives and even as we watch Labour lurch from one cock up to the next..nothing would be close to having the Emperor of all Political Grifters in number 10 enacting everything in Trumps playbook. Do we really want our country to be xenophobic, racist and so right wing... I think not. But, ultimately you get what you vote for.
Do we?? I certainly don’t. I’ve seen nothing which fills me with any confidence. If he got the PM job, it’d be like Stewart Donald getting the gig with us!!
My little take on this is the only way anyone could stop the boats is if the safe passage through europe is shut down, that means god knows how many countries would have to close their borders, that's not going to happen, they are happy to provide an open route to the channel and allow the migrants to become the UKs problem. God only knows how anyone can stop them, they say they are targeting the boat gangs but as soon as any of them are caught there is someone else ready to step into their boots, its too lucrative a business. Question has to be why do they want to come here, what's the attraction, is it a roof over their heads, benefits, NHS services etc etc, its more than just stop the boats its a huge entanglement of red tape created by the human rights lawyers. Whichever way you look at the scenario as a whole there are people making money out of it and as long as there is money to be made it wont be stopped. I get the hatred for Farage but he has played the boat scenario brilliantly to his advantage without any real plan about how to stop them.
Farage persuaded the electorate to shoot themselves in the foot and make illegal immigration much much worse with his famous brexit. He is now going to persuade the electorate to shoot themselves in the other foot but this time they don't know why
These travel arrangements are no different to if we were still in the EU. We were outside of free movement, and this applies to all countries outside of the area.
