If it is the case that Javi was "in the waiting," then why not get one of his team to install everything beforehand and act as interim until he is ready? I don't believe much the club says nowdays.
The trouble is no players want to be dropped which is understandable and at our club is seems easy to go and make a fuss particularly if the manager cannot communicate or express himself well .
Yes least with Javi fans won’t be singing “getting sacked in the morning “ or mocking his lack of English in club videos . Will bring a more positive feel to the place Javi likes a smile too . Let’s hope he is doing that after matches a lot !
So important to have a relationship with the fans. We all loved TC....even with bad results...no abuse
Some fine memories from Javi's last stint https://www.watfordfc.com/news/2025...-best-javi-gracia-s-greatest-watford-moments/
Gracia will be facing some of his successors in the first few matches . They can have a glass of sangria and discuss life at WFC!
They say there is always a rat within 6ft of you, which can also be applied to ex Watford coaches/managers! They are never far away!
All these video for Javi on his return . I just hope he can deliver results on the pitch so it doesn’t turn sour quickly. Be play offs or bust I reckon .
I fear it was that already, hence why we couldn't wait for Pezzolano to find his stride come April. Javi will be given time to undo the damage, same as after Ivic, but I hope that the players will breathe a sigh of relief and (to properly mix my metaphors ) feel like they are now driving without the handbrake on.
Watford were wanting Javi in the first place, but he had to have an op.. I rather fear that PP was always a stopgap, and that short of being in charge of HMS Piss the League, this was always going to happen.
