There's some great Portuguese reds around atm, went out the other week and the Mrs had a Portuguese white, Chin chin i think it was called, tried a sip very nice, not acidic, that you seem to get with a lot of whites

yeah, I’m no wine buff, so would drink it out of an egg cup to be honest.

You can't swirl it like a ****er in an egg cup, go buy a nice glass and pretend you're a ****ing pro. It'll taste better.

    Especially a red.

You need a nice tulip type or something you can swirl it in.

When buying a horrendously overpriced lager it’s crap when they give you a random glass. Just take my £6.50 and put the Amstel in an Amstel glass. Guinness in a non-Guinness glass should be illegal.

Wine, meh. Most of it would taste the same out of a shoe.

Guinness is just swishy washy stout, massively overrated.

Guinness is strangely over popular at the moment.
I don't mind the odd one, but I know blokes who routinely drink eight pints of the stuff (golf club fellas), four or five nights a week.

    It's not that good.

There was a mad shortage around this time last year wasn't there? I think it was the Holyhead harbour storm thing caused it.

They had women off to the cash and carry buying cans of it.
Perfectly decent other beer in barrels, but they'd rather have cans of Guinness.

Although I haven't ordered a pint of Guinness for myself, I have tried it when my lad has ordered it, and my opinion changed in that I thought it was better than I imagined. I don't often like stouts. As for Bishops Finger, I'm not keen on anything that is Shepherd & Neame but the problem is if you are seeing that on tap, chances are it's an S&N pub so you don't have much other choice.

I don't mind the odd pint of it but there are much better stouts out there.

Did half of the red and four Guiness pint cans. Bit too much and was asleep on the sofa.

Will use the rest of the red making a Hachis Parmentier for lunch tomorrow or posh cottage pie as we say round here.

Got 4 of them in the fridge, nice stuff that.
I like Guinness, not many other stouts I do like, Black Country ales do a nice one forget the name of it though.
