They're ok as an optional topping.

You can't put them in to cook, they turn to mush.

The chilli itself though, was very good.

I do like to put the supermarket chillies in the freezer and than use one of those microplane graters to dust one into / onto food.

I've got some chocolate habeneros from a friend going to have to try a small sliver to check the heat which I'm not looking forward to and then I'll use in a chilli this weekend.

What, the kidney beans, my Mrs is the same. But she can smash a can of baked beans no problem, I don’t see any difference but she mentions taste/twxture.

I'm not keen on baked beans, but if they are on the plate I'm going to eat them, not fussed about having them with steak either.

Always Heinz, wouldn't touch the other brands, no idea why and I've no idea what anyone else is serving me.

I'm probably one of the very few people that would have tinned tomatoes with my fry up.

Wouldn't eat any other sort of beans like broad or kidney, yuk. I'd eat loads of runner beans.

Thai birthday treat - Satay Chicken, Golden vegetable bags, Beef Penang and Jasmine rice - really good - beef always falls apart and never any ropey bits!

Yeah that’s it in the Tupperware box next to the meat. Put that in the fridge and I’ll have it on my burgers tomorrow.

Came home tonight and Mrs Chief had done chilli.

So that's last night tea, today's lunch, and tonight's tea.

Lots of chilli! Mine was better than hers.

Hers is a bit too mild to appease the kids, who didn't have it anyway.
