Undercurrents of unhappiness amongst some of the high profile and indeed low profile investors in the 49ers Enterprise funds. Will Ferrell, Russell Crowe, Michael Phelps, Larry Nance Jr, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, TJ McConnell, Joe Staley, Russell Westbrook, Myles Jack, Mike Scheimer and many many more. There are plenty more but even more people who none of us have heard of and all these people have invested a minimum of $5m. All investors were promised a sustained attack on the transfer market to ensure staying in the premier league. Once we won promotion a lot more people invested in Leeds Utd. Many of the high profile sport personalities are part of WhatsApp groups with Leeds fans and are now worried by what many Leeds fans said during the transfer window. Parag Marathe is aware of some disquiet amongst investors. Staying in the EPL would mean the club valuation is boosted significantly due to cash income from football, sponsorship, advertising but more significantly due to Stadium Redevelopment commencing. That valuation means higher returns for investors…. However failure to stay up means a huge drop in cash revenues and no club redevelopment means investors lose money if they want to sell their share.

Its also been mentioned in a few WhatsApp groups that investors will be safe if Leeds relegated as the lifeboat of Red Bull will buy up all shares. For me that’s an incendiary position if it’s actual fact.

Do we think that there’s any danger of the YEP, Leeds Live or Adam Pope actually investigating these rumours. In my opinion these journos are just tame club spokesmen. They will not do what journos did in the past and dig to get real stories. Imagine Don Warters just trotting out the garbage we get from Graham Smyth etc. Warters was there for 29 years and knew everyone from players, staff, owners, doctors, kit man and cleaning ladies. He wrote scathing reports about Manny Couzins, Leslie Silver, Bill Fotherby etc. The journos now are afraid of the fans and only tweet a couple of times each week because they don’t have news. Phil Hay admitted it was harder each season getting real news out of the club and he detested the transfer window because every day he was asked on social media “any news Phil” but Phil was there every day giving opinions and any scraps of news. Smythy and Co are now just club mouthpieces. I would have thought that there is a good story here, but nobody will go digging.

I hate the shyt league position we find ourselves in but in a league dominated by cash we are where we are due to not being in the EPL last couple of seasons. I wonder where we would be now if we had managed to stay up. Would Iraola be our manager, who knows.

Arsenal squad value £1.2 Billion with Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea not far behind. Here are the squad valuations of the teams we played so far:

Spurs £776m

Newcastle £550m

Bournemouth £339m

Everton £320m

Fulham £295m

Wolves £272m

Leeds Utd £257m and we took 8 points from the above teams. So fingers crossed.

Im worried about a few teams below us that will start picking up the points rather than our effort and attributes.

Farke is holding his own with the tools he has been given and thats the problem.

If Farke takes us down thats probably unfairly his prem career over, but football is so much more than 11 vs 11 on the pitch these days. And who wants it more will get you results but not keep you up

We need that mentality we have when we were minus 15 and stormed the league just to survive, one mistake can cost you 3 points and we lack game changers

Either way, im proud of our performances so far and if the board dont feel the same a clear out and a red bull investment if we get the chop might not be the end of the world.

Its not like ownership and fanbases are connected anymore

I would be nervous of a Red Bull takeover, I still hear the words echoing in my head (though I’ve forgotten which jurno said it on talkSPORT) that RB don’t do takeovers in the traditional sense, they completely rebrand with a club completely subsumed into their franchise network. That’s a step too far for me despite all the trophies it might bring.

I know its better the devil you know but I dont hear the man citeh fans who were turning up to see league one football upset about having leeds born halland up front whilst we are hoping Harry Gray can bang a few in at 17 years old

Its not the same game anymore, its no longer the fans clubs either unfortunately

Joe Lewis investment company yesterday put another £100m into Spurs. ENIC Joes British company based in the Bahamas is really just boosting the value of Spurs again getting it ready for a huge Saudi or US takeover. As Bucks says the game as we know it has gone. The Glazers are also putting the value of Man Utd up but not using their own funds as usual as they too get ready for a massive takeover.

PRS will be dead next season which will greatly free up all prem clubs, especially the newly promoted clubs. So does it not make sense for our owners to gamble and throw a shyt load of cash at the January window to GUARANTEE staying up. Who gives a shyt about potential points deductions as it won’t happen this season and we get to stay in the prem and spend our own cash in the way we want next season…

EPL clubs are having a meeting next month, in which they are considering replacing PSR with UEFA's existing Squad Cost Ratio (SCR), because the rich clubs aren't happy they cannot spend all their money.

Would that system help the likes of ourselves, then probably, but we are still going to be a long way behind the clubs that we hope that we can compete against.

Basically the Arab controlled clubs would prefer there to be no limit, so they can spend as much as they want. The American owned clubs require some sort of spending limit to be in place, as they cannot compete with the Arab owned clubs otherwise.

Isn't SCR basically anchoring the league to the lowest squad value? That would mean the top clubs cannot spend what they want. It will never grt passed through the PL. Seems a non starter for me.

No, thats Top to Bottom (TBP) which they are also considering and may also be included within SCP.

SCP is where you have income of £100m per season, then you can spend £80m of that on transfers and wages or whatever % they decide on

TBP is where the spending limit of all clubs is tied to the income of the club with the lowest income.

However with all clubs in the EPL receiving around £100m, then that would mean every club could spend at least whatever multiplier of that that they wish.

RE a Red Bull take over it's on the cards and has been for over 12 months.

If you think the summer we got relegated we signed Darlow, Piroe and Rodon.

The summer after Largie and Schmidt

This summer Okafor, Perri, Gudmondson,

There's a big change in players signed. Yes we're promoted but I don't think Underwood has that big of a knowledge of European football. Then you see some of the players we were linked with I think it backs that point up.

Look at who we are linked with now that young Brazilian winger.

I took a look.at Salzburg and Leipzig's players they were signed from France, Norway, Germany or they were some unknown African player. Sounds familiar.

I think despite what was said by the board back in the summer the plan has always been to sell.to Red Bull. They're just paving the way for it to happen

Not been around for a while so just picking up on the Emu question which Aski has answered but the reason why the EPL will adopt it is simple: if the EPL want to participate in European comps then they will have to fall into line. Simon Jordan last week said it will make it a more level playing field for newly promoted clubs, Stefan Borsan agreed with him but also said there will be more loopholes found …..

We can bemoan our inability to compete due to psr but what’s the point. The truth is we’ve lost so much ground over the last two decades of gross management and pillaging of the club . All started by risdalle. Had none of that happened we’d be a top six club today playing in a world class stadium and guess what, we wouldn’t be moaning about the lower teams not being able to spend enough cash. Our position is mainly of our own making and we just have to suck it up now

We can all bemoan what happened to us and where we think we should be now, but football is full of dreamers. Dreams can come true when you look at what Wigan did and then managed to stay in the premier league season after season. Bournemouth with gates of 5,000 and now a top half premier league regular. Look at what Luton Town did and they were destroyed by the EFL for past crimes of previous owners (same season we got -15 think they got -35) Stoke City from nowhere to regular prem team. They still have one of the richest owners but refuse to use it and in fairness never did. Nowadays it’s all about wishing for a rich Arab

Yesterday online stating rich Arabs were trying to buy scum. Their fans were wetting themselves. Of course I pointed out with psr they wouldn’t be allowed spend a fortune. Of Course They didn’t want
To believe such nonsense
