I set this joke up so that I could respond with something like 'Well sometimes it's good to stick with what you know' and none of you gave me the prompt disappointing.

I knew we had poetry corner on here somewhere. I’ve just finished my poem for Skye. My Darling Skye I always walked this Earth alone, Thinking is she out there, my little clone. We were two lonely hearts beating, Desperately yearning for our first meeting. Fate was upon us on that glorious day, I remember it well, the 14th of May. Your big brown eyes and wagging tail, I instantly recognised, we wouldn’t fail. Years went by and our connection grew, My days filled with happiness, all thanks to you. We never argued and we never bickered, Unlike him next door, he was always triggered. One by one, you seen my family fall, The days I was down, you stood tall. You give me strength and picked me up, You were now an adult dog, no longer a pup. Cancer came calling again, this time for you. I can’t deal with this, that was my view. You give me your paw, them puppy dog eyes, Stay strong Daddy, everyone dies. You were so brave, you fought so hard, I always held you in the highest regard. That awful day came, you could take no more. Let me sleep forever Daddy, I’m now really sore. You lay on my lap, we cuddled in tight, The nurse done her job, you could now see the light. I’ll never forget you Skye, my Angel up high. I’ve finished this poem, now I must go and cry.
I literally can't see a old red phone like that without picking it up and saying just that. Last offence was one down outside a charity shop when I was watching my brows dog last week
