    A state sponsored comedy festival where the acts are banned from criticising that State …

    … presumably the comedians are allowed to mock the countries where they actually live.

    Jimmy Carr, Jack Whitehall and some of America's biggest comedians are being criticised for performing at the inaugural Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia.

    Why be surprised, Jimmy Carr was a beneficiary of a massive tax evasion (avoidance officially as he paid some of it back) scheme about 15 years ago and gig called out on it. A hypocritical [email protected] my opinion.
