They are in hotels in Epping, Eastbourne and Bournemouth - not exactly slum towns. They won't be worrying about heating, hot showers, and meals on the table come wintertime. We should not be paying taxes for this debacle. It is a grave insult. Unfettered immigration has wrecked this country. Every public service is creaking under the weight. Even the most ardent liberal has to admit this current situation is intolerable. If not, they are insane. Successive governments have failed miserably. They literally say no to no one. Every sob story is taken at face value. Not every foreigner is a refugee. Just because they come from a poor country doesn't mean they are an asylum seeker.
You look after your own. Ffs, the migrants have zero interest in us and integrating. I'd go into a restaurant, I'd go into a boozer in Bromley and all you see is............no, what I will say is that you will not find an immigrant in there.
I'm not a big fan of Joey Barton but he absolutely destroyed Neville on a podcast earlier. It also transpires that supposedly two other flags stayed up on a site even though OUR one was taken down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Gary Neville is paying the builders, I don't see a problem with him telling them which flags they can fly and which they cannot. They are presumably there to build something for him, not engage in a patriotic pageant. A building site on the Hanger Lane roundabout in West London had an Irish Tricolour flying over it (about 500 feet up) for around three years. It certainly didn't bother me, driving past it regularly. And I doubt the Sainted Gareth will mind having the likes of Joey Barton counted among his enemies. The guy is a thug. Practically psychotic. In my view flag waving is for International sporting events, in grown-up civilised Countries. Only dictators (or would-be dictators) in places like Russia, China and the USA feel the need to stuff their flags down people's throats. I must admit, I'm thinking back on a flag I used to detest, but one I'm now getting nostalgic for. Nice dark blue flag, with a ring of yellow stars on it. The rise of Jingoistic Nationalism in the UK has gone hand in hand with our rejection of that flag. Looking back, I realise some of my Brexit postings were far too jingoistic and nationalist in tone. Must admit I haven't read his remarks in full, but I gather he is saying that the Union Flag (and the English flag) are being used in some cases to send a message of hostility and intimidation towards ethnic groups - particularly Muslims. In a nutshell - if your culture doesn't fit, you are not welcome here. That message does not distinguish between legal migrants like care workers, or asylum seekers. And some of the angry people emboldened by that message don't distinguish either. Sikhs and Hindus are just as vulnerable. Anyone who looks South Asian. I am disgusted by attacks on Jewish people living here. But I am equally disgusted by attacks on Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and even Christian Asian folk, simply because of the colour of their skin. A Sikh woman was raped recently, in a racially motivated crime. The perpetrators used racist language as they assaulted her. A Mosque was attacked only a few days ago. A car was set on fire right outside it's gates. Any race-hate crime is wrong. But the temperature (and likelihood of racial violence) is not being lowered by Union flags & St George crosses appearing overnight in hundreds of locations where they have never traditionally been seen. I mean, painting red crosses on the white stripes on zebra crossings, and on the middles of roundabouts? That isn't patriotic. The same goes for an excess of Palestinian flags. On demo marches they are understandable, just as UK or English flags are seen during protests outside asylum hotels. But hanging them off motorway bridges, or flying them from passing cars in areas where Jewish communities live is clearly provocative. Of course, it's too late now. More attacks will follow, more innocent people will get hurt. And the forces who stand to gain by that will fan the flames even more.
It's a toxic exchange which doesn’t reflect well on either of them. Rapists are the scum of the earth whatever their ethnicity. He knew the answer to the question and should have given it first time, instead of trying to get her to say "Muslim" or "Pakistani" gangs, which is what she meant.
