Someone posted this on FB and it really resonated with me. I really wonder where all this is going...and for a supporter it is such a test of faith. The 'problem' clearly lies with the Pozzos. The must see that they keep picking the wrong guys... Shame too as the current team are showing some promise now.
If they really are sacking Paolo, then it can't be because of the last three games, it must be because of the first six. And if you're sacking a manager after nine games (let alone six) it shows you got the decision wrong, and wasted a pre-season. If you are getting the decision about hiring the manager wrong so many times, then it requires some inward reflection and a change of process higher up the club. I don't mean Pozzo out, but I mean Pozzo think differently and take different advice. I thought things had changed with Cleverly because he was given a season. I actually thought letting him go was fine, he started to look like he couldn't figure out how to get us performing again, and the new guy would get at least to the winter transfer window (unless it went disastrously wrong Sheffield United style). But then if you start chopping and changing managers again, that becomes a problem in and of itself. Why should players listen to the manager, or care what he says? Why should good players or coaches want to join us? How do you develop young talent to sell on for a profit if they don't have managers to learn from and mentor them? How do supporters build a connection with the team? And, ultimately, how can any manager build anything sustainable when they have to be totally pragmatic and try to win any way possible from day one? I don't know if Paolo is the right guy for the rest of this season (let along the longer term), but I don't think sacking another manager so quickly helps the long-term future.
Yes must be so destabilising for the team..... and clearly not help us get the results we seek.. I agree with what you say about the Pozzo's maybe they can learn and revise the way the proceed. We have achieved with them .. lets hope we can continue to. Its hard to find good owners in football these days who have the money Sure would be great if better owners cam along but currently that is just a dream.
I agree with you, the key point is "better" owners. It's very well to say Pozzo out, but what's the alternative? And things could have been a lot worse for the club over the last decade or so.
It's what makes me think that the vocal 'fans' on social media are little more than kids. I break out in a cold sweat every time I see the word Bassini - had we not managed to prise his claws off the club 13 or so years ago, we probably wouldn't have a club today.

Welcome back Javi. Good luck - you might need it but least everyone will be backing you ( well till the first game ) Coventry and Ipswich away plus Boro and WBA at home to play before the next break .. It’s going to need some good performances if he wants to start well .
