BBM has a point. Half our squad will be missing. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clyxq1y779ko
With Kpakio away with the Wales squad and Ng seemingly injured, who have we got who could fill in at RB? Rather than converting one of the usual supects like Chambers who doesn't like playing at RB anyway, what about young Will Spiers from the under 21's? Haven't heard much of him lately, but from what I've seen this past couple of seasons, he could do a job against Newport.
Just put the 21s out (those not away), they've not been playing much lately. There's a couple 18s look ok as well. Im sure it'll be a 'make do and mend' side tonight. Wingers and fullbacks is where we'll be short. The rest should be ok.
With so many first team youngsters missing due to international call ups I expect BBM to use quite a few senior players. 2 or 3 youngsters like Perrett and the lad who was on the bench Saturday could get games but will he risk other untried youngsters? I dont think so as while Newport are poor, at the end of the day, he will want to win the game and progress in the competition with Arsenal Under 21's up next in November.
Rumney and I were just having the same conversation, Bluey. With so many youngsters out we think the team tonight will have a nucleus of first team players. And maybe Chambers at right back, Sparks. Now what’s the odds on Robinson and Salech both playing up front?
Sshhhh. We're short enough of players as it is. He was asked the question in his interview the other day.
