    Norwich lost again today
Will Mannings job be on the line when we go there on 18/10 ?
They’ve won just 2 out of their 9 league games so far

That was a big mistake by Manning, as they say tried to run before he could walk.. expectations are different with Norwich

I’m probably in a minority here but I don’t hate Manning - and apart from obviously being pleased that one of our rivals is struggling I get no ‘special’ pleasure about LM being under fire.
I get more satisfaction when Wilder loses.
Liam (and we) overachieved last season and I’m grateful to him for that. I also understand that his home town is Norwich and he has family there. I don’t blame him for going there. Obviously I don’t wish him well on the pitch because he manages an opposition club, but I wish him well personally and bear no grudge.

back when it was news he was leaving I stated he was looking at greener grass on the other side of the fence. Also in the past have commented on those that have done it be it whether Management sack a manager doing well but think can do better! ..take Sheff UTD! ..... He made the decision to leave a successful period in our history at a point in time we could be where we are today but possibly4 or 5 points better off!

I can understand the "family and roots bit" but sometimes you have to persevere with what might be best! Norwich gambled on him BEING the finished article ... now they will struggle to get top 6.

note .. there is a point after 16 games where it seems the teams are that define where the EOS section they end up in based on groups of 4 [ then +/- a group! ] clarify 20 19 18 17th finish any where between 24th and 13th based on points, not GOAL DIFFERENCE. Last season city were in group 3 finished in group 2 .... Blackburn 2 ... Derby Stoke in group 5. there are annomallies with 4 or 5 teams that excel or collapse and go 2 groups +/-

I respect Manning, he did well for us, he made his choices and will benefit or regret the consequencies, he has moved on and so have we, so be it. Gerhard Scruber is now our main man.

I bear Manning no malice either and absolutely don’t blame him for jumping ship.

Despite Bristol being a bigger city, Norwich have had many more seasons in the top flight than we have, and crucially, are much more ambitious than us, and they back their managers with bigger war chests to try and get promotion.

It’s different expectations from the respective boards and fans

We’re used to mid table obscurity, but Manning showed us what things could be like, if more investment in the team was made to back up our finish last season and our playoff experience despite losing to Sheffield United.
