Switching back to the Trump thread. As I've said above, we need to wait and see with Trump and his next rant.
I think that was likely anyway with the current conflict in Ukraine, but he will take full credit anyway.
He doesn't even know the countries that he claims to have ended wars between https://youtube.com/shorts/8tEPhxxkFfY?si=2H-qypivIeCqRTsS
Let's be honest though. The average American would not pick up the fact that he couldn't pronounce one country and replaced another countries name for an entirely different one. They think the middle East is Kansas and Europe is a country after all.
Love him or hate him you have to admit his entertainment value is off the chart Does not give a Sh**e what he says.
It would be funny if it wasn't so serious.... This moron has the world on a precipice and half of Congress and the Senate are enabling him...surely a few "normal" Republicans will stand up and be counted against this baffoon.
That's the problem isn't it, so much like Germany in the thirties and the way politicians, etc, went along with all the lunacy ... ... and in Britain Mosley's fascist party were stomping around, waving flags and attacking those they opposed. Mosley was a wealthy man who attracted 'the lads' to his cause and switched from one party to another, Farage in almost every way.
Trump saying on social media that Hamas need to "move fast" or face obliteration... has he not seen the footage from Gaza? The guy is clueless
And to top it all off, a US federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops from Texas and California to Portland, Oregon. BBC News - Judge blocks Trump from sending troops from California to Portland https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c740elm70z7o In a statement, the governor JB Pritzker called the proposed deployment "Trump's invasion", and said there was "no reason" to send troops into any state without the "knowledge, consent, or cooperation" of local officials. He told CNN that the authorisation of troops there would incite protests and accused the administration of creating a "warzone" to rationalise the response.
Hamas and Gaza are not the same thing. There’s still plenty of Hamas that need obliterated. The good thing is they’re continuing to kill each other and always have been doing so. The southern Gaza city of Khan Younis has witnessed one of the fiercest internal confrontations since the war began, between a Hamas security force and gunmen from the al-Mujaida clan - one of the largest families in the south. According to Hamas, its forces raided the neighbourhood to detain individuals accused of collaborating with Israel. Local accounts, however, described an armed assault by about 50 men riding in five pickup trucks, armed with assault rifles and a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher, who stormed the al-Mujaida quarter and killed five members of the family. Armed relatives quickly fought back, sparking hours-long clashes with heavy gunfire. Reports circulating on social media – difficult to independently verify – claim that more than 11 Hamas members were killed, with some of their bodies dragged through the streets. Videos widely shared online, which the BBC has not verified, appear to show several bloodied bodies in military fatigues, alongside a voiceover alleging they belonged to Hamas's "Sahm Unit". Another clip captured bursts of gunfire and an RPG hitting a residential building in the neighbourhood. Local elders later intervened to mediate between the two sides, leading to an exchange of bodies aimed at containing the escalation. While the exact motives remain unclear, the incident has heightened anxiety among Palestinians. Many fear that widespread weapons, tensions between powerful families and Hamas's grip on power could spiral into scenes resembling civil war in a territory already gripped by displacement, destruction, and fear of further lawlessness. It is not just the extent of anger which Hamas faces from its many opponents whom it has humiliated during its 17 years in power which is thought to be a key factor driving the group to reject Donald Trump's ceasefire plan. It is also the fear of violent retribution, of being killed in the street, since the plan requires Hamas to completely disarm. The head of its military wing in Gaza has indicated he does not agree to the plan, which Trump unveiled on Tuesday, the BBC understands. The president has given the group until 18:00 EDT (22:00 GMT) on Sunday to agree to it, or face "all Hell".
I'm just wondering about the World Cup next year, will it actually go ahead? If Trump goes ahead and sends troops into certain cities, resulting in civil unrest, especially targeting cities like San Francisco, LA, Seattle, New York, how are FIFA going to cope? Visiting teams and fans may not feeling safe and if he carries on his threat to take games from some cities and move them to others, it'll cause chaos for visitors for planning, hotels and transport. I can actually see the tournament being at least delayed if not called off, because of FIFAs stupidity in increasing the number of teams, Mexico and Canada wouldn't have enough suitable venues to stage it on their own. If the tournament is delayed or called off, it'll be a huge embarrassment and slap in his face which he won't like at all.
Interesting mate and very informative....thanks for posting. Is it the case,do you think, that the powerful family groups who could remove Hamas from the scene are willing to accept an Israeli state?
