Thunderbolts* 4/10

This is not a good film. Trying to draw in threads from other Marvel films in an attempt to create an anti-hero bunch of misfits who turn out to be genuine heroes and for nefarious reasons dubbed *The New Avengers.

We are introduced to the Sentry, Marvel's answer to Superman, an all powerful being who has the downside of being off his nut. This instability coupled with supreme power is a trope often used and why come up with anything original when you can repeat the trick here?
The new Black Widow does with Sentry what the old Black Widow did with the Hulk and uses the same "I know what you are going through" speech too.

I've not enjoyed a Marvel film since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and Avengers Endgame seems a lifetime ago.

Maybe give it a go if you have finished clipping your toe nails and the paint is finally dry on the walls.

Black Rabbit is superb tellybox.

Jude Law is actually fantastic, even putting on a Yank accent.

Bateman steals the show, though.

Mrs Grove loves her Black Rabbit. I'm not saying it's her favourite sex toy but it's right up there!

 

Better than your pink shrew

 

As the winter nights drag on and Mrs Grove spends more time upstairs with a copy of 50 Shades of Grey and her vast collection of phallic toys I spend more time delving into the depths of YouTube for entertainment. In order to save money to spend on AAA batteries Mrs Grove decided in her wisdom to cancel Sky so YT is filling my void as much as The Dong fills Mrs Grove's.

My most recent discovery is the joy of old men rubbing wood.

This bloke does everything from scratch be it metalwork, woodwork, needlecraft etc and watching an expert with a lathe is a thing of beauty. If you get bored of old Western coach wagons being built I also highly recommend the channel where the bloke finds old tree stumps and turns them into flower pots.
