Think he was a great manager for us, sometimes I think when you are in management and you walk into a club, it depends on firstly what players you have then secondary what funds you have available. Other facts are obviously the scouting system set up, the financial side, wether you have to sell players, how much you have to strengthen and what what money you have available . It’s different at every club and every job. So many factors involved, some fall unlucky ,some very lucky others given more than others.

Never liked the bloke, he was a massive **** pre city. Not denying we had a great time here with him as a manager and he made some excellent signings for us but he was full of ****. Always talked ****. He was the football manager equivalent of a succubus.

I am surprised that he’s failed in league 1. Maybe a proof that he lived off his reputation whilst it remained intact.

Im frunk so maybe not being very tactical with my words but at least im not mincing them.

Blackpool Football Club can announce the departure of Head Coach Steve Bruce, Assistant Head Coach Steve Agnew and First-Team Coach Stephen Clemence.

Retire Brucie....Enjoy your place in Portugal. You've earned it after dealing with arseholes like Ehab.

Blackpool fans said he was never the same manager after his grandchild died whilst at a childminders and that's fully understandable.

Completely understandable. Suspect in the circumstances Steve felt football may become a healthy distraction after such a tragic incident. Shame it's not worked out. Whichever way you look at it, he's achieved a lot in the game.

I am surprised he continued to be honest. Maybe felt he needed the distraction.

Tbf the game has moved on, and with the passing of his grandchild I suspect his heart has been ripped out. He will always be held in the highest regard by me, having met him while at City he was nothing but an absolute gentleman. But I think for now the bloke needs to walk away and try to live his best life he can with his family.

He was doing quite well at one point, but it seems that time or off field issues have caught up to him.
He’s still a Hull City legend for me. The PL & Championship games were brilliant at times & I really thought we were winning the cup that day!
