Good chance of going top if we win this game.

There's also a good chance we get 3 points if we win the game.

Hoping to see Gyokeres build some confidence today with some goal contributions.
Think its 5 games without a goal or assist now.
Home game against WHU is a good opportunity.

I also want to see Nwaneri get more chances - not sure what has happened to him, but he's not as direct and influential as he was when he broke through

To be fair to Gyokeres I think he was unlucky Wednesday night when he tussled and shrugged off 2 defenders and his shot was deflected on to the post for Martinelli to tap in. That for me is good enough to be classed as an assist! ;) Game by game I believe he's making the necessary adjustments to prove his worth, adding to decent contributions as a team player, as you say, he just needs a goal or three and today's game is his BIG CHANCE! COYG!!

we've reverted to slow predictable build up and no threat up front.

1-0 Rice - good bit of football by Saka, Zubimendi and Eze. Rice there to score from the keepers save.
Very important to break down WHU's low block in the first half.
    Now lets play!

    FT. 1-0.

We've been much the better side. Dominating the ball and creating good chances. Timber, Saka and Eze with good opportunities and Calafiori hitting the woodwork at the end of the half.

Again, we've completely dominated them, but it's not reflected in the scoreline.

We really need to add to this lead to avoid West Ham getting back into the game.

It's what happened against Olympiacos - we kept spurning opportunity after opportunity, then they grew in confidence and could have got something from the match. We don't need a repeat of that.

More of the same but with a clinical edge in the second half, please.

Oh also, Odegaard going off is a real shame. The guy just cannot catch a break right now. Really hope he can get over these injuries.

I wish it was FT - I dont like the Hammers at the Emirates.. jammy barstewards

Slow start - improved and we dominated after the first 5, but only a couple of times looked dangerous.
As usual we are a threat down the right, but the play is way too slow.

Simular to Olympiacos actually. We should have scored more. Dominated the game really,.

How that Calafiori shot never went in...

The rebound off the keepers back seems to defy physics!
Keeper must have memory foam for a back.
So lucky for them that it did not deflect in

    Gyokeres has to score that.
    FFS.
Great pass by Trossard and perfect square ball by Rice.
Gyokeres has to be there to slot it home

The persistent fouls on Saka are never punished properly. It's joke now.
Literally slap in the face there that drew blood - no free kick even.

    2-0 great penalty from Saka.
Excellent ball from Zubimendi to Timber to win the penalty.
