Trump has set Sunday afternoon as the deadline for Hamas to show that they care more about live Palestinians than dead Jews.

Is that when nominations for a Nobel peace prize have to be submitted, because he has no other interest in stopping the wars.

Seems a pretty small price to pay for ending the worst thing that’s ever happened in history.

I have always thought that there should be a united Ireland but still with close ties to the UK for some if not all of our joint history

The troubles began from the Catholic minority asking the UK Government for protection from the Protestant majority who were getting more and more aggressive against the Catholics, the first action by the British troops was rescuing Catholics from a flood and they were very grateful to the soldiers

Then the scum calling themselves the Provisional IRA started their terrorist campaign against the soldiers first and then the UK mainland, as in every type of this warfare the soldiers had no way of knowing who were the enemy and people get killed as a result of confusion

Gery Adams and co should be rotting in jail with Blair, not in the NI parliament

Cue left winger ****ers rushing in to protect him

I dont see myself as a Protestant but as C of E which has long proved itself to be a far more modern religion than the still ancient Catholic religion

I'm just CofE because it's what my parents enlightened me with from birth, although I'm not sure enlightened is the right word here. So I see it that a lot of people don't actually chose their religion it's something that is given you, passed on. So although I don't like my religion being attacked I'm not devout to it either. If I had been given a choice or chose myself to make a choice, not sure what I would be, probably buddist (**** off @Welshie).

I'm sure I posted up some video not that long ago to do with a Buddist monk - can't remember what it was about now, mind over matter type of thing I think. Although I'm probably more **** of with your religious differences and arguments, learn to respect one another, no one and I mean no one is greater than another. I believe in a greater something, but no idea what that is, whatever created the universe and beyond I suppose, beam me up Scotty, but I don't accept that humans are at the centre of that - suppose consciousness could contradict me with that argument and I don't want to get deep right now.

Let's see what Buddism says about that latter part: The eight consciousnesses in Buddhism, also known as the eight vijñānas, are a model of the mind in Mahayana Buddhism, consisting of the five sensory consciousnesses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch), the sixth consciousness (mind), the seventh mano-consciousness (ego or defiled consciousness), and the eighth ālaya-consciousness (storehouse or root consciousness). This schema, particularly detailed in the Yogācāra school, provides a deeper understanding of mental processes by outlining the components that lead to our perception and interaction with the world.
