First goal is the key, if we take the lead I think they could crumble, the crowd would turn instantly

The manager we have and the attention to detail he has will ensure we have a great chance. Not saying we will win, but i'm confident that a calm calculated RLB with his tactical nous up against Amorin who is as unpredictable as unstable woman during a bad period ........lets say, I fancy our chances

I'm predicting 1-1 or 1-2 with Amorim sacked by Monday

Aye it was the other way around, Ashworth then supposedly left Man U after a disagreement on the appointment of Amorim. Turns out he was right.

If I was a Man Utd fan I would really want the guy from Bournemouth. Tactically brilliant and they play a great brand of football

    https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...is-le-bris-reveals-son-manchester-united-fan/

REGIS Le Bris has only been to Old Trafford once before - and that was as a spectator with his Manchester United-supporting son!

But tomorrow Noah will be in the Sunderland end supporting his dad's team as the Black Cats look to continue their superb start to the Premier League season and heap more pressure on beleaguered Ruben Amorim. It was back in 2015 that Le Bris was last at Old Trafford when he was a neutral observer to watch Manchester United beat Manchester City 4-2...

"Being at Old Trafford demands strong personality and strong character," said Le Bris. "I still believe that we'll need to upgrade our performance to be competitive in Manchester. I've been once [to Old Trafford] as a spectator with my son. I need to say that he is a huge fan of Manchester United. He will probably support Sunderland on Saturday. He is sat in the Sunderland end!"

United lost to Brentford last time out and Amorim has won just nine of his 33 Premier League games in charge. But Le Bris said: "They are strong, create many chances from everywhere, direct play in behind, set pieces, with talented players. Now it’s just a question of click, confidence, circumstances, scenario. For us, the only thing we can control is our way of playing, the way we want to play this game, to face this challenge, being aware that it will be tough."

Asked what he's made of United's start, Le Bris added: "I don't know exactly because my focus is only on us. And every weekend, obviously we'll analyse our opponent and it's just a short focus and we try to find the right way to manage their strengths, how they can create danger and we try to find a solution to get opportunities and to win the game. After that, I don't have a specific opinion about the club. It's a huge club with a big history. They are strong players, so hard to beat."

He does, however, believe the Black Cats are in a good position to cause Manchester United problems tomorrow and add to their misery.

"Yes, absolutely," he said. "Even against a squad with a strong momentum like Crystal Palace, we try. Every game is an opportunity. We don't know before what will be the scenario. Football is still unpredictable and one decision making can change the whole dynamic. So, knowing that, we try our best to get points. Simply."

Amad Diallo missed Manchester United's game at Brentford because of a family bereavement but returned to training this week and Sunderland are to set to face the winger who starred on loan at the Stadium of Light three seasons ago.

"His spell here was really important and the coaching staff like him and as a person and as a player. Now he’s an opponent. It’ll be great at the end to say hello but during the game we won't be friends!"

Not since West Ham 13 years ago have a promoted team started as well as Sunderland this season, but Le Bris says it's vital the Black Cats keep their feet on the ground.

He said: "Keep writing it! Absolutely. We have a good balance, many young players with big ambition and more experienced players like Granit, Reinildo, Omar...we share the ambition and we know that we might fail, but it won't be the end of the world. We lost to Burnley and it wasn't a disaster, we were ready straight away to work again. It will happen again, I think. Not too high, not too low."

I was saying this to someone the other day. I think the owner is the biggest issue mind. Radcliffe just thinks about himself.

It's mental how I was more worried about Nottingham Forest away than I am about Man U.

It will be a very tough game, no denying they have some great players but it is the formation and tactics that are lacking, and we have a master tactician as a head coach. It's like a free hit for a promoted side, but with an increased chance we do well there.

Saying that, there's a UK wide weather warning for tomorrow so could see a few games postponed.

Exciting times. Old Trafford and Man Utd again. I remember times we would go there and fancy our chances. Feels like a lifetime ago though. Now I fancy us again. And that is more about us and how we approach games, than them.

I am not sure I would play Masuaka for this one. Other than that the same side would do me. Maybe Hume left and Geertruide righ backs. I dont know tbh, but Regis will. What a coach he is turning out to be. I have complete faith, and I havent said that probably since Reidy. I have respected all of our coaches, some a lot more than others, since then. But it feels like we have struck gold with Regis.

Your Wolves 'pal' is missing a few important points.

Wolves possibly have a few better players than Sunderland but don't have our depth in my opinion.

The difference is that Wolves will have more 'off days' than us, I wouldn't expect to see us surrender at home to Leeds for example. That was after they'd gone ahead but lost confidence in themselves and just fired in hopeful shots.

As for Man Utd I think the bookies odds are slightly skewed. Of course they should win but the pressure will have a major effect tomorrow. They're conceding goals through mistakes, regularly, by surrendering space behind and over attacking. The pressure is all on them and I don't think they'll enjoy playing us.

Great news. He's supposed to be back in full contact training after the international break. It looks like he could possibly be doing that now.

He'll be like a new signing and great competition on the left.
He doesn't have to be a guaranteed starter now like last season aswell so we can be patient with him.

I'm trying to not get carried away, but lets say that I've enjoyed this week looking forward to the possibility that we can go to Old Trafford and possibly win. This is the first time I've ever realistically thought that. And if not win, then at least match them in the game.

Even the home game in the Kevin Phillips era that Ferguson called our game the biggest of the season, I didn't think we would win.

Bad thing is I think Amad might be back and he can change things in an instant - along with a few others they have, especially on set pieces. They just have to click a few times, but then so do we.

So I think just sit back and enjoy!
