Another dire display, last minute goal versus a team with a fraction of our budget. As the ball hit the net, there were cheers followed by the now familiar chant of “Martin, Martin, get to fck”
RM’s brave little soldiers are up again tonight. I’m secretly enjoying watching the fiasco without any emotional attachment. Seeing him in the press still sends a shiver down my spine though.
Honest question but where in the english football tiers would celtic and rangers actually settle if they were in it? Wherever it is they likely wouldn't get European football of some kind every season but there seems to be some expectation that they'd be able to hold their own despite the fact that really they probably aren't good enough to be there and drop down and out of the various competitions pretty quickly.
I reckon if you put them in English football right now, then they are probably equivalent to the top 6 of the Championship. But they would eventually rise to become top 8 Prem clubs, and Celtic maybe even top 4, and win the occassional silverware.
Sacking is inevitable, I just hope he has a good long spell in the headlights. Just so nobody can say he wasn’t given a chance.
They'd eventually rise higher than that imo. Give them PL money and exposure and they'd be right up there. It would absolutely ruin the likes of Chelsea and Spurs.
I see Forest lost to our old foes Midgetland. Ange still seems a mental appointment to me for their squad.
