The scale and quality of the summer recruitment has almost sunk in. Every time you think Alderete, Reinildo or Xhaka were the best one, another springs up like Mukiele.
Nordi was incredible yesterday. He won everything. But he was also another huge leader on the pitch. Organizing, motivating, connecting with the fans. He was there when the subs were made, thanking the players leaving and talking to the players coming on. So good.
Fully agree he's been an absolute colossus for us so far, love seeing him gesticulate to the other plays a lot as well, plays like he actually gives a eff, Wouldn't be shocked to see him at RB against Forest, with Hume dropping into Reinildo's spot and Ballard starting.
I don't believe this is true in this instance, and if it is we have a great defender to come in ... ... RLB won't bat an eyelid either way.
I can’t quite come to the terms of the fact we have a canny premier league team. Don’t get me wrong we will still lose a good few matches but everyone has to be surprised at the unite we have created in such a short time.
Has there ever been a chant created for sporting directors and a recruitment team? There's a challenge for the lads and lasses who think them up.
Or get something to rhyme with it. We need to get Half Man Half Biscuit on the case. The band who managed to get Lech Wałęsa into a song and paired it with Marks and Spencer.
Funnily enough a mate of mine sings one all the time! He's nuts mind, but tremendous crack. I've asked him why he doesn't try to get it going but I'm not sure he's they type. Bit old anyway. I've never looked into that posting video stuff, but it's "Bringing on Back The Good Times" by the Love Affair. He sings the chorus and then some stuff about Kryil and his mates in the last line or so.. Belting song actually, would probably make a good chant!
That's the song. Absolute belter. This lad is a self employed joiner, ( old enough to stop really, but he loves working!), he belts it out when he's working outside. He was doing some work for me last week on the roof. He never let, with the graft or the song! It needs some lusty voiced young lads to take it up!
